CounterFReep the CBS Reagan flick haters!
I posted a similar message in reply to the discussion of the Freepers' rage over an unvarnished, balanced and refreshing view of the most overrated president of the 20th century, Ronald Reagan.

The discussion of the FReakout is best left there. The "fight back" issue is a separate one, so here goes: Some stupid FReeper cooked up this admittedly incomplete list for the sake of "Freeping" CBS and their advertisers. Let's use the poor, deluded fascist's research and let CBS and their advertisers know they're being targeted in a phony "grassroots" campaign against the Reagan movie.

Some tips:

1) Write your e-mail in your own words -- cutting and pasting raises red flags.
2) A few bullet points to re-write:
------- The organization behind the e-mail campaign is NOT representative of conservatives or Republicans in general but is extremist-right-wing in nature.
------- FR has been involved in intimidation campaigns, Internet harassment, and has even been a platform for hate speech and veiled (plus not-so-veiled) threats against Democrats and liberals.
------- This is not the first time an anti-CBS "scampaign" has been foisted by FReepers
3) If you have purchased products or services from the sponsor, let them know that you have – and will continue to support them.
4) When writing to sponsors, cc: Les Moonves.
5) Be upbeat, positive, and leave the reader with a smile.

Let the counter-Freeping begin.

1. Frankly, I'm not sure CBS is too concerned...
All that controversy is sure to make it a ratings bonanza and the sponsors must surely realize that as well.

I do look forward to the segment where Raygun (supposedly) declares to Nancy that he is the "ANTI-CHRIST."

Sounds like Steisand won't be too disappointed that hubby agreed to play the repugnant "paragon of virtue..."

2. and it's not like the freepers watch CBS anyway, right?
i mean it's the Commie Broadcasting Service, no real american would watch it. so why would a boycott of something they never use anyway be a threat. It'd be like me deciding to boycott Burger King. No big deal, never go to one in the first place, so refusing to go isn't going to hurt them much.
