This blockbuster column published on Al Martin Raw: Political, Economic and Financial Intelligence (www.almartinraw.com) questions the many lies that Rush has told in his bid to remain as the top mouthpiece for the Bush Cabal in the media.

"If he does have AIDS, it's highly unlikely that gay activists would embrace him," Martin continues. "But Clear Channel is definitely easing him out. You can tell that the process has begun because everybody on the right is singing his praises.

Limbaugh may just think he died and went to "feminazi" hell

It’s true that Rush Limbaugh won’t be going through cold, nasty, state-funded drug treatment like his poorer fellow addicts–that is, in the states that still have treatment slots open, as Republicans, spurred by people like Limbaugh and his armies, have consistently put the kibosh on government-funded drug programs. And yes, as a loaded, white alleged buyer of illegal drugs he probably won’t go to jail the way a street addict would, though the maid he allegedly got to buy illegal pain pills for him may be put in the can.

But after researching the place that Limbaugh reportedly checked into for drug treatment, I’m convinced that if the treatment is successful, he could be transformed into a being that is barely recognizable. In this case, that can only be a good thing. After all, if Limbaugh has been on synthetic heroin for years, foaming at the mouth and railing against liberals, a detoxed Limbaugh might be defanged as well. (Makes you wonder what Ann Coulter is on, eh?) That’s not to mention that the treatment center that sources told the New York Post he’s entered is, for him, the belly of the beast.

Previously, Limbaugh put himself into overnight detox–twice, we’re told–at the sterile, business-like, highly secretive Addiction Recovery Institute in Manhattan. The rehab facility he’s rumored to have checked into now for 30 days, Sierra Tucson–which will neither confirm nor deny that Limbaugh has checked in–is just outside of Tucson in the Sonora Desert, a setting with a "quiet beauty, inherent strength, and enduring ability to inspire," as described on the facility’s website. For a guy who has railed against "anti-people New Age mystics," the "treatment modalities" at Sierra Tucson are certainly enough to make his hair stand on end. It’s also likely that Limbaugh is being treated alongside the very Hollywood types he has railed against for years, people who check in to discreet, upscale rehab centers in the desert but tell themselves–and their friends–that they’re doing a spa vacation.

"Sierra Tucson utilizes many different types of therapeutic modalities to access underlying issues," the website of the roughly $1000-a-day treatment center explains. "Each modality is designed to unearth vital information from different angles and pathways into one’s self." (That is all supposed to happen before you head on to the adjoining Miraval Spa, a posh resort and sister company to Sierra Tucson, where you rest up at after you’ve done your 30 days in the treatment center.)

What you're describing is "empathy". A sense of "there but for the grace of God go I." Limbaugh has shown precious little of that any time during his career, particularly toward those he is now one among (people with addictions, alleged criminals).

You'll pardon me if I observe that karma is a bitch. I'd be more charitable toward him if he'd been more charitable toward other unfortunates in the past.

It's hard for me to imagine he'll be able to keep up his anger and hatred once he's been confronted in treatment. Even though the radical right did a number on you - and I'm glad you're past all that - Rush had a "bully pulpit" from which to spew his garbage, one that you (I'm guessing) and I don't.

Yepper.... more than a year later, I still can't believe it. I guess it's that way for all lifelong fans of teams that rarely amount to much.

I hope he wakes up to wind chimes and has Enya forcibly piped into his room to soothe him to sleep. I hope his every morning and afternoon consists of him sitting in a room of terribly terribly gentle, earnest people who insist that he really get to his FEELINGS, and assure him that it's all right to cry. And don't let him finish the session until he does. I hope every time he even begins on one of his trademarks rants, he's greeted by a gently hurt look and a reminder that he's spreading "negative energy." When the news first broke, all the networks had their narc experts on, and they all said that the relapse rate for abusers like Pigboy is like 85%. I'd say he's hooked for life, and Clear Channel knows it. I can't imagine they really want to risk him embarrassing the Right again, but then I've been wrong before.

I hope to see him eased into retirement so the wingnuts can all worship his memory, just like they do St. Ronnie.

I don't know, nobody does the level of sincerity the pigboy has about getting clean, but, I happen to agree that this is a move done by and for the lawyers.

The only reason this sick son of a bitch is in a rehab is to try to save his fat ass,(no offense to fat people). He'll never be able to follow a twelve step program, and if he tried he'd have to give up his three hour hate fest or go right back into the snake pit.

If he is really trying to get clean, he'll give up the hate and will be of no use to his handlers and followers. I would imagine that there is a great push to find a replacement now.
