How many Commandments did Bush violate in the SOTU?
Bush claims to be a Christian. His speeches resemble Billy Sunday sermons. But how closely does Bush hew to Biblical injunction?

Not well, sad to say. I'm going to compare the maladministration's actions against that most holy of Scripture, the Ten Commandments.

"And God did say all of these words:

1. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me.

//Money is their god.//

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.

//When Christianity was just starting--it's a young religion, as religions go--this Commandment was designed to stop the people whose religions called for building totem poles and statues of their gods from building 900-foot Jesuses and Twelve Apostles totem poles. This administration puts burqas on statues.//

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.

//Crisco John. Need I say more?//

4. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God.

//This is a two-part Commandment. Work like hell six days a week, then take the seventh off to celebrate the Lord. Bush has the second part down pat; however, this lazy bastard hasn't worked a day in his life and he knows it.//

5. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

//Bush is nice to his mom.//

6. Thou shalt not kill.

//173 executions while governing Texas poorly. 3000 deaths on 9/11. Five thousand Iraqis, a few thousand Afghanis, over 200 troops in Iraq and who knows how many in Afghanistan.//

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

//This one he's safe on; if you were a normal, non-Stepford Wife, would you sleep with any of these people?//

8. Thou shalt not steal.

//Florida 2000...//

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

//Sixteen little words. Or 117 little words. Or whatever.//

10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's.

//Bush coveted Iraq.//
