Anyone changed their primary vote over the last few days?
I gotta admit, Graham is really hitting his stride and seeing Wesley Clark on Hannity & Colmes last night really got my attention.

Kerry's still my #1, but these guys are running a close 2 (Clark) and 3 (Graham).

1. I WAS supporting Kucinich but ...
his appearance on Hardball and his inability to deal with Tweety's gotcha presses disillusioned me greatly. I am now officially undecided again.

12. Thanks, Pepperbelly......
for having the guts to say you were disillusioned by Kucinich...I, too, was disillusioned by him, in a way that was up close and personal, and I have been to chicken to say it here. I will say it now that you have. I like Kerry.

4. You know,
clark may be intelligent and well-grounded, but I tend to recoil from any military types running the show.

5. Kerry is still number 1 with me
but I like Clark - I would love to see a Kerry/Clark ticket - I think they could not beat that ticket. I think in the next week or so, we are going to be hearing a lot more from both of them.

8. Clark and Graham Rock
I too was leaning for Kerry, but more because I ruled out everyone else out of the 9. Clark has been masterful though, he speaks really well, very easily, he is personable and has frankly an almost boyish smile. He is able to challenge the best and the worst of them, with details, facts and statements about being on the "inside" He talks about the 1998 operation that no one else does - and suggests that the missing WMD was destroyed during those raids.

Graham was very focused on MSNBC last night, particularly with the noise in the background. He lays out the case not for whether or not Saadam was bad, but for why our real targets are Al Quaeda and Hamas. And onimously, how we've let those groups gain strength as we went off to Iraq.

A Clark/Graham ticket would be a winner.

14. Clark's charm reminds me of...
Little Freddie Bartholomew. I love his movies. In his movies he was always so charming, sweet and polite that everybody, men included just fell in love with him. Clark has that kind of charm.

9. I haven't and won't change my primary choice
away from Dean; however, I think reality dictates that most people pick an alternate for a "just in case" scenario. I've been looking at the other candidates that have declared so far and am not seeing anyone that I could enthusiastically support. Consequently, I find myself REALLY hoping Clark will enter the race. I confess I've not done much research on him but, given his military background and his seemingly calm nature, I think he'll be a great "alternate" choice. If Dean doesn't get the nomination, I most likely could enthusiastically support Clark.

11. Nope
I am in the corner of John Edwards. I do like what Wesley Clark has been saying, but I'll stay with Edwards.

BTW, year to date, Edwards is only 2nd to Kerry when it comes to raising funds.

15. Yep I have!
I have decided to vote for Kucinich. I was really considering voting for Dean. After reading both canidates views side by side Kucinich's are more liberial and a lot closer to my own personal views.

17. Gephardt, Clark, Graham
If Kucinich drops out, I'm thinking of these guys.

Edwards seems okay, but I think the trial lawyer thing will kill him. I'm still hoping Clark comes out strongly in favor of American jobs, like he has specifically come out for progressive taxes.

I think I was way off about Graham - he is starting to look better and better. I put him back into my undecided column, but he's already getting close to the good.

18. Not changed, but grew more certain
I have been supporting Dean since March, but it is only recently that I have really become a passionate Dean supporter. I have said all along that I will support whomever gets the nomination, and I will, but it hit me for the first time about a week ago that I am going to be really disappointed if Dean doesn't get it.

This is why I originally said I did not want to get involved with any primary campaigns, because I wanted to be able to wholeheartedly support whomever gets the nomination, because beating Bush is what counts. And I am trying hard not to resent or make swipes at other campaigns (I kind of slipped up the other day when we were flyering on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ, and someone said "Dean? He's crazy! He changed his position on everything like 15 times!" And I said "Actually, I think you are confusing him with John Kerry." And then he said "Kerry's even worse!" and that he was a Republican, and I instantly regretted what I had said.) But I hope that if Dean does not win, I will be able to turn around and be this enthusiastic supporting someone else, because I really can't lose sight of the bottom line.

20. As A Floridian I'm Supporting Graham
but if he gets out of the race I will vote for the Democrat who I think has the best chance of beating Bush.

I don't have a good record in the primaries

Ted Kennedy- 1980

Gary Hart - 1984

Al Gore -1988

Bill Clinton* - 1992

Al Gore* -2000

* duh

21. officially undecided, but leaning Clark
Edited on Tue Jul-22-03 04:12 PM by FDRLincoln
I can't make a decision until I know if Clark is in the race or not, and what his domestic positions are. But if Clark gets in, and if his domestic positions are what they seem to be, given his various statements over the years, I will likely throw my support to Clark.

My rankings would go

1) Clark (complete package from what I can see if domestic OK)
2) Kerry (almost as good as Clark, but could be Gore-ized by Rove)
3) Graham (well-qualified, elder-statesman type, but not inspiring)
4) Dean (afraid he'd lose his cool in a debate)
5) Edwards (too slick)
6) Gephardt (not slick enough, frequently outmanuevered by GOP when in Congress)
7) Kucinich (unimpressive to me as a speaker and presenter, even more likely than Dean to lose cool, can't win)
8) Moseley-Braun (I like her personally but she can't win, should be strongly considered for cabinet post by President Clark or President Kerry)
9) Sharpton (Too much baggage, can't win)
10) Lieberman (too Republican)

Please no flames; those are my opinions.

All of them, even Lieberman, would be an improvement on ShrubCo. Whoever the nominee is, I will support.
