Debates Made Me Mad As Hell
Aside from the contestants, and that is exactly what the 9 are right now, Contestants, I really was getting fired up at the questions they were being asked.

Every question asked either began with a denouncement of generally accepted Democratic principle or the implication that the subject was well suited to the wannabe candidate because he is known to be the man/woman behind some sort of ultra left-wing plot to eat babies. It was FOX at just what you'd expect from FOX, demeaning the Democratic party and making it look like F!@#$%^#ing public service.

1. It will get worse
Better stiffen the old spine if you thought these questions were loaded or tough. I don't mind the tough ones; the problem I had with these is that they were obvious, and failed to shed much light. The media types always seem to ask questions more for their benefit (or celebrity) than to dig deeply. Will Bush answer tough questions? Not if his handlers can help it. If the questions are obvious, like in 2000, they may have the chimp adequately trained to skate by. By the way, Huel Perkins of WJBK (a Fox affiliate) and Gwen Ifill of PBS are OK in my book.

2. I was pretty pissed through a lot of it as well
They started just throwing insults in their questions, and I started thinking, "What the fuck, Faux, when did you guys decide to start asking questions? You sure picked a hell of a time to do it!"

Fucking assholes.

They slam the Dems at their own debate, they throw softballs to Bush, they have no shows hosted exclusively by liberals (and Alan Colmes does not count as a liberal anyway) as compared to several hosted by conservatives, conservative viewpoints are voiced by "reporters" during "news" as though they were fact, they never bring on Democratic or liberal guests unless they will be outnumbered by at least a 2 to 1 ratio, they consider part of being "fair and balanced" to be covering all of the potential conservative viewpoints but none of the liberals (I saw an O'Reiley the other day where he said that the CBS Reagan movie was a shameful lie, and to "debate" this he brought in two people to say the same thing), and despite all this bullshit Faux has the balls to lie right to your face and tell you that they are not biased.

I would now like to apoligize for the obnoxious length of that sentence.

4. Agreed.
And I saw some Michigan mayor grossing about what they DIDN'T talk about. Really! Doesn't he know that they each have only about 10 minutes to speak, and they have to answer the questions asked. TV turned my stomach today (as usual).

3. Awww, c'mon...
You're right that most of it is waaaay heavily slanted to the right -- what matters that isn't, these days?

However I have GOT to give credit to Huel Perkins of WJBK, for asking why the Govt could find $87 billion for Iraq, but couldn't find any relief for America; and also for asking why there are two justice systems in this country -- one for the rich and one for the poor.

This man deserves a bit of slack at least, does he not? That reminds me I need to send a supportive comment to him & his editor!
