Commander in Chief cried wolf and Congress
living in an environment of fear, provided the President with the authority to wage war on October 11 2002.

Then the other senior executive wolf crying members of the Wolf Alarmist Posse (WAP), Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz and Ashcroft took over the defense policy, state policy, justice policy and media policy of the Nation in a shameless and dismissive manner.

Whopping lies became the order of the day, the bigger the better, if one lie is discovered the policy is to tell an even bigger lie.

Minions like Rice, Tenet and Powell who are so proud of their administrative positions just queue up to support the posse, ignoring concepts of truth, principle and integrity.

The giant corporations that own the mainstream media anticipating the profits and contracts, and a few out of fear, ensure that the media talking heads repeat the lies of the posse.

Now as the undeniable blood of the innocents flow and as events overtake the WAP lies; even the talking heads of the giant media corporations cannot quell the truth, and the whopping lies of WAP now fall on discerning ears.

The Commander in Chief can no longer cry wolf because Congress will no longer believe him. This is a terrible dilemma as National Security may be compromised due to the lack of credibility of the President. Of course WAP will continue to implement their core policy of lying.

November 2004 cannot come quick enough. I only hope our democracy is strong enough to withstand WAP until then.

3. congress had fear of what exactly?
more 9/11 style attacks? Sadly, I think the dems went along because they were terrified that the repukes would throw "pro-terrorist" labels on 'em if the dems resisted the war. I think it was a political strategy call on the part o' the dems, and I think it was the wrong call to make.

Surely they didn't believe the so-called "evidence" any more than those of us screaming at our tv's "that's a lie!" everytime colon bowel or dumbya spoke.
