Clark Bars: the first step is to admit you have a problem
Look. I'll lay it out for your guys, You're energized. That's great. You have a sense of Mission. Excellent. Your enthusiasm for your man is admirable and , well, a little spooky. But That's ME talking. At its base, Clark is a good candidate.

BUT

You guys have a serious problem. And we've invited you here to DU today to discuss it. Your obsession is NOT helping your guy. It's blinding you to the real problem.

Your campaign organization is composed of troublemakers, venal egotists, and the worst sort of power freaks. I know this because many of them are insiders, WAY insiders , who've had a taste of what this is all about. J Street. The Georgetown social whirls. Crow Bar. All the DC lifestyle stuff they've become addicted to and seek to maintain.

At your man's expense. They are squabbling over who controls access, who gets meeting control issues , talking points, and most of them are very late arrivals. You guys, the soul of this campaign, have been at this for months. The new guys, they just couldn't seem to get a job with any other campaign. Or maybe you think they are the best and brightest, holding out for the best man. I'm sure they would be the first to tell you they are.

But to quote Stan from South park " okay dude, this is really f#@Ked up here"

Here's the news

the latest USA Today/CNN/Gallup Poll. The numbers are for registered Democrats and Democratic leaner. MoE +/- 5. (10/10-12 results):
None/Other/No Opinion 18 (15)
Dean 16 (13)
Clark 15 (18)
Gephardt 12 (10)
Lieberman 12 (13)
Kerry 10 (11)
Sharpton 6 (6)
Edwards 6 (6)
Braun 4 (5)
Kucinich 1 (3)

Your man is slipping and he hasn't even begun to fight. This is a direct consequence of the internally focused turmoil of the organization. If you guys don't get over yourselves and your candidate, and put some HEAT, real HEAT on your campaign staff, this will be over after New Hampshire. I don't know what else to say.

But like I said, the first step is to admit to yourself you have a problem.

1. I'm locking this thread.
If you wish to start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must comply with the rules posted in this forum. They are here:

Do not use condescending names to refer to supporters of any candidate. And do not start threads to discuss the supporters of any candidate. And we expect you to state your case in a non-inflammatory way.

2. No offense, but a Dean supporter calling someone's
...enthusiasm "spooky"? I can't say whether or not your personal enthusiasm is spooky, but as someone with no candidate in this race, and after having briefly flirted with supporting Dean and having donated money to him, I personally find Dean supporters I know from reading this board and meeting in real life, and their methods and enthusiasm to be far more spooky and scary. That's just me though.

I agree Clark's candidacy is getting back to more earthly levels, but I don't think his supporters are any more spooky than the Dean fanatics.
