Hilarious Bush quote at press conference. Idiot.
From Calpundit:

Q Mr. President, your policies on the Middle East seem, so far, to have produced pretty meager results as the violence between Israelis and Palestinians --

THE PRESIDENT: Major or meager?

Q Meager.

THE PRESIDENT: Oh, okay.

Q Meager.

THE PRESIDENT: Meager.

And we also got to hear about how Condi Rice was doing in her new role:

THE PRESIDENT: ....her job is also to deal interagency and to help unstick things that may get stuck, is the best way to put it. She's an unsticker. And -- is she listening? Okay, well, she's doing a fine job.

Hahahaha. What a jackass.

2. I was reading the Chicago Tribune's coverage of the press conference
And apparently they saw a different press conference than we did. Nothing was said about the stupid remarks. It was mentioned in the story about the "Mission Accomplished" banner on the USS Abraham Lincoln...and John Kerry's blasting of Bush's comments.

The headline in the Tribune about it is "US Must Stay Course in Iraq, president says".

4. I wanted the back and forth to go like this...
B: Major or meager?

R: meager

B: major?

R: no meager you jackass, as in paltry, as in a piss poor record of non-accomplishment, as in your history of mediocrity in virtually every endevour you taint

9. Terry Moran has an accent?
Since when? I understood the word "meager" quite well the first time it was said.

10. Yes!
I have it on tape and replayed it just to be sure...when the reporter said "no, meager"...Bush said "mager" (rhymes with major) as if he were wondering how he could have mis-heard...or if there was such a word...who knows what goes through that idiot's mind.
