KOBE KOBE KOBE.....
On Every Damn channel????

WTF is going on????

Did we not just witness, in the House, another historical example of the Declination of US Democracy and it's inability to govern?????
Was not the event, another clear revealation to the absurd conduct by the Repukes and total disregarde toward Democrats everywhere???

And all the news is focused upon is a sports star? I don't even see breaking news about the event posted around in online news sources????

Am I crazy here or is anyone else going to vommit to?

2. Got to keep those consumers consumin'...
Thanks for the thread, it's different from what I thought it would be, all I can say is I am getting ready to watch the evening news and they sure as hell BETTER cover what happened in the house today.

I swore off of the talking heads months ago, but I am going to do it even though it will be painful. I'll watch ABC. Please God, let them tell the truth.

I told my mother what happened and she said "I think it's funny. If the situation were reversed then the Democrats would have called the police." When I told her the bill on no time and a half passed in the house, she just walked away without saying anything.

I better go get this over with...

3. It's that Bush deal with the devil again.
Every time he's in it up to his eyeballs, some goofy shit starts happening to divert the public's attention.

12. Well, I don't think it's the Kobe story per se
Any story to divert attention would have done. The Kobe story has all sorts of juicy elements, to be sure, but if it hadn't been this, it would have been something else.

New medication for hangnails!

Is your mailbox about to kill you?

Pink fluffy bunnies! Doesn't everyone just love them?!

Film at 11.

4. I watched C-SPAN all day, and for the first time I feel that the
democratic party has really had it with this administration and they are finally going to speak out. As Rep. Rangel said today, "we aren't going to take it anymore". I fervently pray that they mean it.

I'll bet my last peso the DA thats brought charges against Bryant is a conserative GOP bush supporter, and in my humble openion this is just one more thing to keep the public's attention away from whay bushco is doing to this country, bush and his thug have been screwing the people for over two years and he has not been charged with rape.Where is the justice?

9. Sure
And it didn't have anything to do with that sex crime allegation.

Come on, leave the foil at home and acknowledge other things go on in the world besides politics.

14. LOL
Ah, I dare to not see conspiracies in everything and now I'm Karl Rove? Give me a fucking break. I worked in news for years. It ain't pretty, but it does dole out what the public wants and they are more concerned with Kobe than most of you want to believe.

10. Don't forget Kelly's death and the Iraqi oil map in Cheney's energy policy
You gotta admit, they are pretty damn clever. Get all this information out there on a day when the stupid fucking population is caught up in a story about a fucking basketball star. I hate the fucking media.

Why should I care if a sports figure gets endorsements or not?

So he's arrested. Boo hoo. This is the headline story?

Unbelievable.
