Faux News Spin: Iraqis won't join police cause Dem might get elected in US
Edited on Thu Oct-30-03 07:02 PM by kskiska
They showed a clip of Wolfie saying that Dem candidates should keep their mouths shut about bringing home troops, etc., because it's a deterrent to Iraqis security. The whole panel, except Mara Liasson agreed that Iraqis are worried about our election, and whether we'd be there a year from now. I guess this means that * has absolutely got to remain in office.

2. Seeing how BushCo decided to invade and run Iraq...
They should be able to vote in the 2004 Presidential election. Now...just how many Iraqi's do you suppose would vote for Chimpboy??

Hell, that election would have to be rigged like the last one where 100% voted for SH.

3. And why should I give a rats ass what the Iraqi police think?
Whether we are there or not, the US propped Iraqi police are dead men walking.

4. I can't believe they're serious
They were saying that it's tough getting Iraqis to provide their own security because they're afraid the U.S. will stiff them (the way Poppy did in '91). And given the campaign rhetoric (as though Iraqis followed this stuff), they're deathly afraid that this will happen if a Democrat gets into office. Therefore, it goes without saying…

7. bush will do anything to save his butt
Tito, if it means pulling out the troops because Americans are screaming bloody murder about our troops dying, then bush will pull out the troops if he thinks it will help him get elected. Try to understand, please try to understand, this was never ever about helping the Iraqis. Who do you think helped Saddam, anyway, from our administration? Do you remember bush's father? How about Rumsfeld? See, the Iraqis have been lied to, just like everyone else.

I'm new here, so I'm not sure if your being sarcastic or serious. You have talked to Iraqi's who left when they were children, is that correct. Have you spoken to any citizens of Iraq since oh, maybe March 2003?

13. Some of us have been against Saddam since he seized power
We were aware of Saddam's brutal record back in 1983, when Donald Rumsfeld was shaking his hand and supplying him with arms to wage war against Iran. We were aware of Saddam's torture and gassing of his own people back in 1988, when the Reagan administration turned a blind eye to the atrocity because it served their purposes then. We were aware of Saddam's brutal record in 1998, when Dick Cheney was finding a way to worm around official sanctions and doing $23 million worth of business with Saddam's regime.

So, we're quite aware, thank you, of Saddam's record, and many folks here have been working against his regime for a long time. If a Democrat is elected in 2004, the Iraqi people can look forward to an American administration that will be more concerned with their welfare than in lining its own pockets, which would be a vast improvement over the corrupt bunch of thugs currently trying to run things in Iraq.

If you had actually read some posts around here before making your ill-considered remarks, you might know that, Tito. Welcome to DU. I strongly advise you to do some research.

6. Iraqis won't join the police
because they're worried about getting fragged. They're being targetted by the resistance for consorting with the infidel occupation forces.

12. Problem is, US won't be pulling out if a Dem wins....
All the major Dem frontrunners call for more troops in Iraq. So this propaganda about Bush has to remain is just that.
