As i said in another thread, I used to live in Atlanta, and I remember when only the black community saved him in a close governor's race with Guy Millner...I feel so betrayed by ever voting for him, and i hope whatever he got in return for this crime was worth it...Please; just switch parties already instead of trashing your own!!! replace Zell. As far as I know, not one Dem is even thinking of running for the seat, although 3 or 4 Republicans are talking about it.

Zell will be out of the Senate in a year and we need a real Dem in there. I hope somebody's working on this. Getting him kicked out of the party is just revenge. He deserves it but does it really benefit us?

Thank you all again. We are under seige here in Georgia. It feels like the front lines in the battle for democracy.

The local party is a mess. We've lost the governorship and both senators. We're not sure if our votes are being counted. There is still a friggin rebel battle emblem on our state flag. And we can't even find a candidate for Zell's seat with statewide name recognition. But I'm not leaving. These battles have to be fought. We will prevail!

Add on edit: If Zell were an honorable man, this petition would not be necessary.

and left a witty little comment on there as well. Conservatives will point to us and say we're an unreasonable party for wanting this, but let's try to gather as many facts as we can here. His voting record, his on the record statements about Dean and all the other candidates as well as his support for Bush. They say we're trying to exclude conservatives from the party but I say we're trying to exclude Republicans who are lying about their identities to damage our name with the public.

They are why people think we have no clear party agenda and are never united like the GOP are. It's time to strike back and get rid of DINOs/Republicrats from the party so we have a united front and are working together to try to pass what we believe in. No more Democrats voting against everything we do.

After reading Mr Worley's letter in the AJC renouncing Mr. Miller I was moved to sign the petition as I don't usally do so. If there ever was a Judas Iscariot Miller equally fits the bill.

When the Petition is complete and delivered to the DNC. I'd be very interested to know their reaction to this one.

We were told that as of this morning, there were about 450 signatures. I am not certain what timetable they have for delivering it. I would hope it would be rather quickly, as I think this needs to be dealt with right away. I'll check with the author and get his thinking.
