ARGH! Greens Want To Spoil Democratic Race! Ban them from DU!
This is a little old (from August), but still, it's worth reading!

Some members of the Green Party... say they don’t care if another third-party run by Ralph Nader wrecks the Democrats' opportunity to replace President Bush in 2004.

"As the Democrats have retreated from their core constituencies, they have given the Republicans a real license to move into greater extremes," said national party media coordinator Scott McLarty, who accuses Democrats of betraying their so-called progressive ideals.

" seems to be crumbling as a political force that means something to anybody, crumbling as a real force of opposition," he said. "That is what we mean when we say we are so strongly in favor of running a national candidate."

Considering that their party is responsible for this mess, I am not surprised that they don't care if they steal another election. They just don't care about America. They're friends of the GOP. Plain and simple. Therefore, trhey should be banned from DEMOCRATIC Underground!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2. One problem I have with the Green Party is this...
...they oppose all war! You cannot oppose all war! I do not like war but it is needed sometimes, such as when there is a direct and current threat or we have been attacked! Many Greens do not support any war for any reason, that is not a realistic policy! Also, the Greens have to learn about consensus building; you do not win elections and get things done without compromise and a superior strategy!

3. A few points about Greens.
1. The GOP, not the Green Party, is responsible for nominating and electing the imbeciles currently running the country. Sure, green voters could have stopped it, but so could've any number of people and groups of people who decided not to make their votes count.

2. However, as much as they decry the Democratic Party moving to the center, they share significant responsibility for it. They've proven that they are unlikely to vote for our candidate. And if that means having to shave a few percent extra off the center, we'll have to do it. Not because we want to, but because we need to.

3. The Greens are not our allies. Despite what they say, they've not helped us create national parks, anti-poverty programs, or funding for schools. They've taken their marbles and gone home when it's counted.
