The Heinz Corporation PAC gives money to RNC -None to DNC
this according to a friend of mine who gets the Wall Street Journal (I am not a paying member of that paper so if someone can verify this I would be grateful.

To be honest I am a bit disappointed in this..at least they could have given money to the DNC...what is the deal here??? I am a Pittsburger, Democrat and consumer of Heinz ketchup... and I am pissed...Hell Kerry is even married to Teresa Heinz...

3. Kerry isn't Heinz corp and open secrets confirms it to be true
That said, the PAC isn't Theresa Heinz herself.

BTW, I am not knocking Kerry.

5. How am I dissing anyone?
Personally I am going to support who wins the primary... PA primary isn't until May of 2004 and it will most likely be a done deal until then... so not much to do on my end... hell our democratic committee is going to let yinz guys in the other states fight it out...

I am just pissed because a local corporation is giving so much to the RNC and not to the DNC...

so there....

:P

6. Your friend is correct.
Today's Wall Street Journal Says:

"MINOR MEMOS: Playing ketchup: H.J. Heinz Co.'s PAC donates $5,000 to Bush-Cheney, and nothing to Democratic presidential candidates -- including the spouse of Heinz heiress Teresa Heinz Kerry. ... "

10. Many Dems don't TAKE corporate pac money.
Plus...the Heinz Corp. was sold.

Teresa Heinz controls the Heinz Foundation that supports charitable causes and social issues like the environment and healthcare for the poor. In fact, she is one of the world's leading philanthropists on both of those issues.

12. I understand...
but, you must also know how much good Teresa has done for that area, too. From all I've heard, she has a sincere commitment to the area and always made sure the employees were treated well when the Heinz Co. was still in the family.
