Great Noam Chomsky interview in New York Times
<http://www.nytimes.com/2003/11/02/magazine/02QUESTIONS.html>

"Your father was a respected Hebraic scholar, and sometimes you sound like a self-hating Jew.

It is a shame that critics of Israeli policies are seen as either anti-Semites or self-hating Jews. It's grotesque. If an Italian criticized Italian policies, would he be seen as a self-hating Italian?"

Notice the interviewer attacks Chomsky as having a psychological deformity. Chomsky replies it is "grotesque."

2. Yeah, somewhat suprising.
Did not know that was true.
I suppose we all think people who agree with us are just being rational, but Chomsky's "common sense" rationality is always refreshing.

4. Love the last question
Have you considered leaving the United States permanently?

No. This is the best country in the world.

..

Stupid-ass question, knocked-down with style. :D

5. Slanted
Would appear that some would like Chomsky to shut up or leave the country. I guess that I'm a self-hating american. She lacks common sense, as was pointed out. LOL

6. "self hating american"
That's great. Perhaps someone spewing hatred everyday with the aid of being doped up on opium should be called a "self hating republican."

7. The interviewer
The interviewer was undeniably rude. Maybe we could sign him/her up to interview Ashcroft or Bush.

8. Chomsky on Zionism
One of Chomsky's funny lines in one of his speeches is "When I was young, I was a Zionist...although nowadays it would be called anti-Zionist".

He was a Zionist in his youth but he wanted things set up in a matter that Jews and Muslims would get along instead of be killing each other, and it didn't happen that way.
