Dennis is IMO an old-time Democrat and I think that if his views were given more air time I think that more people would flock too him. I aim to vote for him while I can but realistically he is the type of candidate that corporate America is afraid of. And because of this he has an upstream battle, heck more like trying to paddle up Niagara Falls. What I can do I will do.
After Dennis I will probably support whomever is the Dem candidate but I do like some more than others.
I like Dean mainly because he has been out there fighting against Bush almost since day one. He has problems but overall I like him. Oh living in Missouri I doubt that his "Confederate Flag" talk will hurt him, hell it may help him. As somebody else said, many of the "Nascar/Football/etc" fans have nothing but pride in the bars and stars. I dislike it and think that many that fly it are racist but others don't. I saw it flying on a televised Nascar event right under the US flag when the Star Spangled Banner was played. Considering this, I think that if anything his mentioning it may make some of the non racist re-examine their thoughts after a national dialogue. Ignoring it has not made it go away.
Clark is gaining some considerable points in my book. His Rolling Stone interview was great. I live that he is bringing up concerns about 911. I am taking a wait and see attitude with him.
Kerry lost points with me his Iraq vote. But he is making some of that back with his recent actions. I appreciate his no vote on the 87 Billion! Yeah Kerry :) I want him to keep it up and challenge everything that Bush brings up in Senate. He has a great opportunity to showcase his leadership in the Senate.
Edwards is appealing but IMO he is not seasoned enough to be Prez yet.
Sharpton is fantastic! He can tear apart anybody in a verbal contest. I would love to see him against Bush or Cheney! But I don't think that he has much of a chance, he is also another one that Corporate America is afraid of.
Carol Mosely Braun is a great speaker but doesn't stand out enough to gain a foothold.
Gephardt has a good record but I really don't trust him. He caved on the Iraq vote and appeared in the rose garden with Bush. He seems to do what is best for Dick and not what is best for America. He can earn my trust again but it will be hard.
Lieberman has a 5% chance of getting my vote. That is only if he gets the Demo nomination. Even than his nomination is about the only one who could drive me elsewhere.
