We were told Jessica had amnesia but. . .
-snip-
Lynch said she had read "thousands of stories" recounting that when she was rescued, she told U.S. Special Forces that she was an American soldier.

"Those stories were right. Those were my words. I'm an American soldier, too," she said.

Lynch's 507th Maintenance Company convoy was ambushed March 23 near the Iraqi city of Nasiriyah in an attack that killed 11 soldiers. U.S. forces rescued Lynch at a Nasiriyah hospital April 1, while five other captured 507th soldiers, held apart from Lynch, were released April 13.

Lynch also said she was "thankful to several Iraqi citizens who helped save my life while I was in their hospital."

Lynch said she missed Pfc. Lori Piestewa 23, who was her roommate, best friend and a member of the 507th. Piestewa died of injuries suffered in the ambush.

"She fought beside me, and it was an honor to have served with her," Lynch said.

Suffering from multiple broken bones and other injuries, she had arrived at Walter Reed in the nation's capital on April 12. Lynch is able to walk with the aid of a walker but still has trouble standing.

5. I wouldn't wish for that
I'm betting she'll toe the Bushevik line. Many financial awards will await her so long as she does so.

I'm sorry to say I'm guessing she'll do so.

Notice the Prudenization on the AP article makes it seem as if every words written about her was true, but my guess was she was talking about the "I am an Amerikan Imperial Soldier" line.

AP is the worst of the Compromised Pravda Sources.

Not including Faux, of course. They are in a league of their own for aiding and abetting Monstrous Evil along with the German Ministry of Information and Enlightenment.

14. Ever See "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance"?
Yep. That's the situation this soldier finds herself in. She's at the center of a fabricated non-story and a faked rescue, to boot. The OFFICIAL reports of her injuries have already put the lie to the "fought to the bitter end" crapola.

Is anybody listening to the truth?

6. nah..come on, mjb4
She looks like she's in extreme pain, poor lady. It may well have taken extraordinary fortitude just to get through that little ceremony. She's a victim, remember, both of enemy action and the stupidity and greed and malice of those who sent her to war in the first place. I think we should all pray that she feels better real soon...and gets ALL of her memory back!!

7. I assume she has her memory back. . .
. . .if she even lost it. She can remember saying "I am an American soldier too." Sounds like she has parts of her memory back. . .again, if she even lost it!

15. And don't forget about her parents
What makes me hopeful for her is that at the time of her rescue, her father made a point of correcting the exagerated stories about her injuries.

4. I feel so sorry for this poor woman.
She receives terrible injuries, has to watch her best friend be killed, ends up in an Iraqi hospital where she doesn't know whether she will ever see the outside world again, and then when she is recued becomes a pawn in a game that poor kids from West Virginia have no idea of.

No matter what you feel about Bush, it is hard to have anything but empathy and sympathy for poor Jessica Lynch. I hope she survives her rescue.

17. I'm so glad she mentioned the kindness of the Iraqis
Why on earth would anyone believe she had amnesia??? When that whopper came out, they had changed their story about 5 times....gunshot wounds, stab wounds, rapes, beatings....wait a minute, no gunshot wounds, no stab wounds, but she must have been beaten....no, wait a minute, no beatings, she was treated with kindness??? What, we don't want to hear about no stinkin' kindness from dirty Muslims...Amerika's a SICK country.

18. I bet Jessi has a helluva book in her
once the junta is out of power--she can write a novel on the REAL story--and how she was used by this administration.
Would be a great book!

19. On MWO, a letter writer pointed out
Dear Esteemed Horse:

Let's see, during her homecoming yesterday Private Lynch thanked Sen. John Rockefeller, a Democrat, and Gov. Bob Wise, also a Democrat.

She thanked her boyfriend. She paid tribute to her fellow soldiers. She even thanked the Iraqi people who helped her survive.

There was one name that was glaringly omitted, however. That would be none other than her Commander-in-Chief.

Nicely done, soldier.

Best regards,
Ron Shapella
West Amwell Township, NJ

22. Obvious propaganda
Few will notice. She is not only being a tool of the government, but also disrespecting the other soldiers (who I do NOT support in thier current actions) who died and got injured over in Iraq.
