plant any WMDs, the killing of the Sons of Sadaam (real or fabricated) will quell the firestorm...........for now. Shrub is still in a world of trouble and 2 bodies aren't going to make it all go away. Isn't it odd that whenever a shitstorm hits this admnistration some convenient event mysteriously surfaces to change the topic du jour?

On the one hand, I suppose they could have claimed at any point along the way, in Afghanistan or Iraq, that they had killed Osama bin Laden or Saddam or his sons, or any others on that goofy deck of cards. The fact that they hadn't announced such a thing could be because, well, they hadn't.

On the other hand, you just gotta wonder. Here's one -- count 'em, one -- source, and not a disinterested one, identifying the bodies. Without something more definitive, this stands a decent enough chance of being laughed off the front pages and added to the list of lies.

9. For several hours, they were going to "wait for DNA"...then suddenly

some guy is shown photos of the dead bodies (which had been ad nauseum reported as being "charred" or "not in good condition" and immediately says "Yep. That's them. No doubt."

And I'm the King of Sri Lanka.
