Why did Bush wait so long to take responsibility for his speech?
Even though it is a "shared" responsibility. Is it because he thinks the people will say that it's OK if he lied - we killed Uday and Qusay! Shout it in the streets. We killed Uday and Qusay! In the middle of the story, Rove tells him to accept responsibility and it will disappear in the middle of the other big stories. These people are so dangerously manipulative. I'm shocked that the whole country doesn't see their game. Were they waiting for just the right moment?

Nobody gives a shit about Uday and Qusay except the media whores. They are just convenient targets in an illegal invasion. Capturing or killing them does not change that fact nor does it change the fact that Bush lied about WMD and uranium from Niger. And even if they found WMDs and uranium, it still would not change the fact that Bush went against the world and a big part of his own country to pre-emptively attack another nation without sufficient proof. He believed he was doing the right thing but he sent our troops off to die on this ideological crusade...Nothing has changed except perhaps, maybe, Uday and Qusay are dead. Are we supposed to have a parade to celebrate?

1. It is time for the revolution
I am sick of reading about this and I am sick of hearing and seeing the media whores adore Bush. It is time for the revolution--this cannot go any further--the guy is evil and he is a criminal. We not not want him as anything but the evil stupid idiot he is--and that means he has got to go. It is time for the revolution--I am sick of this and I am not a youngun, either. It is time to take to the streets to disavow this idiot and all of his idiot, criminal policies--get em out of there---NOW

2. reminds me of a jelly donut
with sh*t for filling. No real substance or lasting nutritive value to the fluffy outer coating, but with enough sugar icing to hide the flavor of the pathetic truth of Bush's sh*t lies.

Sorry, shrubby, we're not biting, and your lies still stink.

3. Yep...
reminds me of the old adage, "you can't paint a turd".

Saddam's idiot children are gone, OK, I'll go along with that. But it still does not excuse the bush lies. After all, it was the "lies' that brought Clinton into an impeachment. Same deal for bus, he lied, he should be tried. At least Clinton didn't kill anybody with the BJ, cover-up.

4. He's a pathological liar
He's probably made his self believe his lies are true. The only reason he "took responsibility" (and I use the term very loosely) is Karl Rove told him to do it.

5. Uday and Qusay are just a media blip...a minor media thing.
I dont think this is a big or very long-lasting story. Just a one-day thing.

I also dont think Bush "accepting blame" about the Niger tale is all that much of a big deal either. It was getting kind of embarassing for the White House to keep passing the buck, so Bush had to say the buck stopped with him (more or less).

Not sure if this will put the story to rest. We'll see.

6. He waited for a poll indicating the whole thing would go away if he did
Isn't that what drives his every move?

7. So he doesn't know if rogue nations are building nuclear weapons
Okay, fine with me. No big deal. Some underling has the real intelligence about what's going on with nuclear weapons around the world. Let's hope he doesn't forget when the information is true.

This is such a load. Iraq is seeking uranium from Africa... and Bush looks at it and supposedly just repeats it with no questions at all. He's supposed to be the President and this is what happens when people play along with his stupidity game. He can pass off information like this and nobody thinks to hold him accountable because they all secretly think he's not in charge anyway.

If this had happened with Clinton, oh my god, he would be impeached AND exiled.
