My E-Mail to Chris Matthews This Evening: Condi Rice

Dear Mr. Matthews,

Please revisit what the head of the NSC, Condi Rice, had previously said regarding the 16 words of WMD hype within President Bush’s State of the Union Address. She dismissed the charge that anyone near her knew about the false claim within those words. She said, “Maybe someone knew down in the bowels of the agency, but no one in our circles knew that there were doubts and suspicions that this might be a forgery."

“No one in our circles knew”? The second highest official in the NSC, her very own deputy, Stephen Hadley, has now admitted that he “knew” and that he and Condi let the President down.

This is as close to obstruction of justice as it comes. Condi Rice lied to the American people about her direct involvement with the inflammatory allegation of Iraq and nuclear weapons that was made by the President of the United States in the constitutionally mandated State of the Union Address.

Rice must immediately face formal questioning immediately under oath. Our soldiers are dying in Iraq everyday because of Bush’s “pre-emptive strike” on that nation. The American people deserve nothing but honesty from this very dishonest government official.

these twerps should wise up and hire at least one person per show to monitor sites like this, and great emails like yours wouldn't be necessary.

that said, is there some way to organize a system of getting pertinent info to all these shows/"reporters" on a timely basis?

I know bev harris does stuff like that periodically, but there's so much out there, and so many outlets to be fed that a systematic approach would be very helpful in making sure no stone is left unturned.

frinstance, Hadley said he FORGOT to mention the October warning during the SOTU manufacturing phase. nobody that I've seen so far has picked up on that, and it should be HUGE! the implications are ominous for John Q Public safety.

about Hadley "forgetting" was on NBC Nightly News. I didn't think their lame excuses could possibly get any lamer. I was clearly mistaken. Never underestimate how low Bushco will go.
