Stupid f**king sheep

We're going to be outsourced where I work. An email went around early last week explaining how it's being "studied". This is to prepare us for the inevitable, and get us to cooperate with the plan. In other words, we're gonna shoot you in the head, and we need you to hand us the bullets. Oh, and do it with a smile, or we'll shoot you earlier. So we're in this meeting with my coworkers and my boss, and I'm trying to feel around for what's going on, and everything I say is interrupted by the team's no. 1 butt-kisser with this pollyanna bulls**t. I say "I notice that these decisions are usually made by people who are so high up that when things go wrong they aren't directly affected by the consequences. Instead they just crack the whip harder". Pollanna says "Oh, I don't think that's true, I think the people higher up really have our best interests in mind and that of the company." It's bad enough that I'm going to lose my house, since I'm at a pay scale that is no longer being paid (I.T. is no longer one of your lucrative fields) even if I could find another job, but I can't even speak my mind even slightly without this f**king motormouth getting in the way and trying to make me look bad. She's in the same shit I am. People are just stupid f**king sheep.

your job will help a poor Chinese peasant make $1 a day instead of 50 cents a day. Who says Bush isn't helping to create jobs?

You see the handwriting on the wall. Don't bother with Pollyanna, people like her are a waste of oxygen. Start looking now for another employer, if you haven't already. You'll have to cut back, way back, but it gets easier in time. You might be surprised how well you adjust.

And, sincerely, my sympathy. I've been in your shoes.

and I've been studying for a new career, but I need more time. This is cominh way too soon.

to sign with the company we outsourced to, and I received another half a year's salary as a bonus for staying with them for a full year.

Then I quit the next day.

So, outsourcing netted me 2 years' salary for 1 years' work. If you play your cards right, you can make outsourcing work for you.

..and Queen Pollyanna isn't as dumb as she appears. By hermetically sealing her lips to your boss's ass, she is sewing that golden parachute for when the engines give out on the rest of you passengers.

I've worked in a similar situation before, when a "wrecker" comes in. The Wrecker is hired as a "fixer" but in fact has the job of dashing a company apart so various other interests can feast on the remains. The Wrecker puts a sunny face on the demolition squad (sound familiar?)
