Paula Zahn: Was she high?

In post-debate coverage she says to Clark: Well you said you didn't inhale. Clark looks at her incredulously and replies: I didn't smoke the stuff. I didn't even touch the stuff!

Then the ever vigilant Zahn asks: Well, do you think the fact that you didn't smoke pot will or won't resonate with these (young) voters?

Clark replies: I was asked a question. I just answered it!

In other words, in Zahn's viewpoint tonight it's somehow a scandal if you smoke pot and somehow politically damaging if you don't.

saying he "wanted to be the candidate of confederate flag waving southerners"

The "inhale" comment was an attempt to link him to Clinton. Unbelievable.

That when Paula is taken out of her comfort zone and her comfort time, and does not have a familiar voice purring the the earpiece in her ear, she just cannot function.

Either that or she is dumber than a post. Take your pick.

he gave great answers about gays in the military, about jobs, about so many other things and she's got the gall to reverse an answer he gave and then keep pressing him on it.

after 9/11. Well, I'll forgive, but I won't forget. She was on a rooftop, interviewing people whose loved ones had been in the Twin Towers and were subsequently missing. As the remains of the towers smoldered in the background, she asked one young lady the proverbial question, "How do you feel...?" She then asked a more personal question, and I'm sorry, I really can't remember it, but it was pertinent to the girl's missing family member. The girl tearfully and tragically poured forth her answer and Paula Zahn said, "Uh huh and what..." and the next thing she asked the girl, the girl had just finished telling her! It was obvious she hadn't been listening. Now, I understand Paula Zahn is human and she probably was just as shaken up as anybody else in New York and the rest of the world during that time. Heck, look at me, I was so shaken I can't remember what her questions were and what the answers were, but I will always remember she wasn't listening.

She spent the entire after-show tonight trying to get these guys to take jabs at each other. Can you imagine being in high school with that woman? She just loves to stir up sh*t. Maybe that's what it takes to make it in cable t.v.? I thought Wes Clark handled her well. He always does. He kept his answer focused on himself and didn't let her trick him into saying something bad about the other guys.
