Working Families Party wins 3rd Party Victory in Brooklyn!
"In the most hotly contested race, in Brooklyn, the Working Families Party achieved a landmark victory when its candidate, Letitia James, was elected to the Council even though she was listed only on that party's line. That race, to succeed a murdered councilman, James E. Davis, was the first victory by a third-party candidate for City Council in a quarter-century, and Ms. James won over Mr. Davis's brother, Geoffrey A. Davis."

The Working Families Party is one of the most hardworking - and sensible! - Third Party organizations out there. I voted for Hillary Clinton on the WFP line in 2000, and they do a helluva job campaigning on local issues in NY State.

Kudos, WFP! Great job!

Democratic ticket. Then again, I saw Elizabeth Krueger run under the Democratic ticket and the Green ticket...I don't know if she ran under the Working Families ticket though. She won.

on edit: I hope that Democrats are going to run under different tickets. I am fond of that DFL ticket because it is descriptive.

2. If I can vote for the Dem in a close race on the WFP ticket
I do.

Great line to support, especially here in Brooklyn, where they do so much great work in the communities. Really a model for 3rd Party community activism.
