So much for only Clark can win nonsense, Dean does better - poll
Marist Poll

October 27-29, 2003

Definitely vote for Bush 38%
Definitely vote against Bush 44%
Depends 7%
Undecided the difference

Head to Head:

George W. Bush 48%
Howard Dean 41%

+7% for Bush

George W. Bush 55%
Wesley Clark 36%

+19% for Bush.

So much for that argument.

2. 7% is easier to overcome than 19%
Just a thought.

any of the major candidates, and has yet to air a single commercial, while Dean has been running commercials for months, as well as getting ludicrously fawning treatment from the so-called 'corporate media' that he's supposed to be the scourge of. I would have expected Dean to finally be able to beat Clark in a poll like this eventually, and it actually says a lot about how weak Dean is as a candidate that his numbers are this bad after two years of campaigning and millions of dollars of commercials.

5. Gephardt and Kerry do the best. The WP shows Kerry doing
best of all against Bush, with Dean doing the worst.

6. They all have different people doing well.
That's why you can't follow the polls to closely. You will be going in circles.
