Good luck to Lorne Calvert and the Saskatchewan NDP today.

It's election day in SK and it's gonna be ugly. Any Saskatchewaners out there to keep us informed? I know there's at least one. Anybody able to enlighten this Albertan on the state of play? Are the SK party going to win?

Not crazy about Calvert, but go go go!

I'll dedicate to Calvert this recording of Tommy Douglas, patron saint of the Canadian left and first to lead a socialist government in North America (Saskatchewan, of course), telling his fable of mouseland (http://www.saskndp.com/av/douglas/mouseland.audio.html). The mice keep electing cats to govern them. Sometimes they are black, sometimes they are white, but they were always cats.
