At least Dean didn't tell black voters to "get over it!"

like Kerry, and like Lieberman. Atleast he didn't lead the House Democrats in not supporting the CBC protest walkout over the Florida vote purge. Atleast Dean isn't a hypocrite like Edwards, who recently has been saying the rebel flag is a frivolous culture war issue used to make poor whites vote against their interest. Dean should call them on their demagoguery.

these people exist like it or not, we need them to vote our way. What would you rather have DU nay sayers Bush for another 4 years or someone else. It is time to be realistic not idealistic. People who fly the confederate flag on their truck or anything else that you may be offended by is a potential voter. If Bush is going to whore for votes it is completely acceptable that any one of our candiates does the same.

I think it is a ridiculously sad commentary on society when this is such a major issue...

Did Dean say "I love the confederate flag and everything it ever stood for woot!!"? No. He said "I'd like to be the candidate of guys with confederate flags in their pickup trucks too. Well GOOD FOR HIM. HE SHOULD want to be the candidate of everyone, especially groups of people the rest of the Democratic party has abandoned.

He apologized if his poor choice of words offended anyone today. I think it is very much time to get over it, and I don't even consider myself a Dean supporter and I'm saying that - I'm for Kucinich.
