the campaign's Senior Director for Congressional and Public Liaison for General Wesley Clark.
Wesley Clark sayd "Thurgood is going to be the point person for my campaign's dealings with Congress. The breath and depth of his experience in this area will be invaluable".
For those who aren't aware, Thurgood Marshall (the father)was the first African American Supreme Court Justice. Prior to that appointment, Marshall, Sr. worked tirelessly to eradicate segregation in this nation's housing, transportation and education system. As a NAACP attorney, Marshall, Sr. argued & won the landmark 1954 Brown v. Board of Education case that addressed the issue of seperate but unequal public schooling.
Our friend(?)Juan Williams, political analyst and journalist for Fox News TV has written a biography of this great man entitled Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary. Excerpts of that can be found on the Internet. While I haven't read the book, the passages that are on the Internet are well written. I don't understand how Juan Williams who wrote this book and at least one more book on Civil Rights can stand working for Fox, but that's another subject...
Thurgood Marshall, Jr's resume speaks for itself. But the fact that he is the son of this beloved African American further cements my support for Wesley Clark.
Clark not only talks inclusiveness, he practices it as well!
Thank you, General Clark, again!!!
