Weekly Standard: DISPLAY THE BODIES
As I said earlier today on another thread.

Proof of Death

The demise of Uday and Qusay Hussein is good news--but now the administration should provide proof of their deaths to the Iraqi people.

GET THEM ON TELEVISION.

On Tuesday, CENTCOM confirmed the killing of Uday and Qusay Hussein in Mosul, Iraq. According to Lt. Gen. Rick Sanchez, "The bodies are in a condition where you could identify them." It may sound gruesome, but the Bush administration should work expeditiously to provide the world with evidence--photographic if it can be done tastefully--that Saddam's murderous sons are, in fact, dead.

3. Maybe this death doesn't suit PNAC's purposes
Maybe Bush-Rummy are acting outside PNAC on this one.

4. Tasteful gore
Gore should always be done tastefully. For example, many colors do not work with scarlet "blood" red, and should be avoided. Don't be overly concerned if the victims have blackened entrance wounds, for black is neutral and will work with anything, HOWEVER--proper accent colors and composition of the photograph will compensate for a multitude of sins.

6. The reason they're not showing them
is they probably were shot in the back (brave American style).

4-hour firefight. Yeah, sure.

7. butch uday and the qusay kid
and the whole bolivian army in front of their shack. uh-huh.

clint eastwood can be the american commander, and jerry bruckheimer will direct. i can see it all now, and it would make for very good fiction.

for a better frame of reference, google up what a hellfire missile does to a building.
