Has Lynch ever met her rescuer yet?
I heard excuses as to why she hasn't so far. I also seem to recall that she was in very good care the whole time of her capture.

1. She Refused Through Her Lawyer
(a) I'm too busy with my rehab and my book and (b) I don't remember.

Sounds like she's a typical Rethug.

4. I fail to see the benefit of demonizing Lynch

Perhaps someone can explain what is to be gained by painting her with words that I don't believe she has spoken or acts she has not commited.

12. she's cashing in
that's why

she hasn't responded to the pentagon's lies (the whole she went down, gins blazin' story)

she's allowed herself to be used as propaganda piece

her family participates in clearchannel/glenn beck pro-war rallies

7. more plausible is that
she simply felt his participation in this is dubious. She doesn't remember him, he's gotten a plush new life and he's written a book all to profit from her situation -- which she may perceive as his opportunism. She may want an independent investigation into the lawyer's role before she embraces him.

2. How many of them are still alive?
Three or four of them have died unnatural deaths since the "rescue".

6. This thread is about the Iraqi lawyer...but you're correct on the number..
...of U.S. military rescuers that have died since the rescue.

Four total, so far:

One from a drive-by shooting;

One from a suicide;

One from a single-car accident;

and One shot in the back during combat ops in Iraq.

3. Well, her new book sez she was raped
http://www.startribune.com/stories/675/4196963.html
--snip
Medical records cited in the book indicate that she was raped, the Daily News of New York reported in its Thursday editions. Officials have said Lynch has no memory of her ordeal.

"Jessi lost three hours. She lost them in the snapping bones, in the crash of the Humvee, in the torment her enemies inflicted on her after she was pulled from it," writes Bragg, according to the Daily News, which obtained a copy of the book.

"The records do not tell whether her captors assaulted her almost lifeless, broken body after she was lifted from the wreckage, or if they assaulted her and then broke her bones into splinters until she was almost dead," Bragg continues.

gotta sell that book, dontcha know?

8. The most important line in that entire story was at the very end...
"He resigned from the Times in May after the newspaper suspended him over a story that carried his byline but was reported largely by a freelancer."

Most other versions of this article indicate that Bragg was either fired or forced to resign...he had no choice in the matter. The other versions also indicate that there was more than one freelancer doing Bragg's "legwork" on more articles than the one mentioned above.

Funny how there aren't any direct quotes from Ms. Lynch on the supposed rape. I guess she can't be trusted to stick to the official version of events.

I'm also very curious how anyone gained access to her medical records, particularly since they're kept under lock and key even after a person leaves the service. More freelance legwork?

5. I seem to recall that the credibility of her "rescuer" has come under...
...heavy fire. Both Lynch and the Iraqi doctors tell a far different version that the one told by the Iraqi lawyer.

10. I do feel sorry for this lady. Seems she has been used bad by every one.
This new story is just in time to save the DOD for what it did.
