Planned Parenthood facility targeted, boycotted
Edited on Thu Nov-06-03 04:49 PM by theivoryqueen
Looks like a certain group of Right Wing Christian Assholes have too much time on their hands. Is there any sane way of reversing this trend? It would be interesting to post Chris Danze's home phone number for reciprocal phone "advocacy". He's president of Maldonado and Danze, Inc. - a concrete contractor who started this whole mess.

If this is a redundant posting, I apologize.

1. I don't know why nobody else has picked up on the elements of
RICO. If the Christian Right is now intimidating contracting businesses and interferring with their right to do business, it sets a dangerous precedent for anyone who has a political beef.

I, personally, don't see how the authorities can allow this to go unchallenged.

that occur via US Mail? So far they are just calling people on the phone. I know it's an anti-organized crime statute... I'll research this now.

4. Also Check The Dallas Morning News
The Dallas Morning News also covered this story with more depth, even though the Austin American--Statesman had it on their front page. As I wrote on my post concerning this topic, this "boycott" isn't just about religious conservatives' opposition to abortion and contraception, it's also about their opposition to health programs to the poor, their underhanded methodology, and their ideology. Complascent moderate conservatives who still entertain the fantasy that the extreme-right factions controlling the Republican Party need to get in touch with the ugly reality--a vote for political conservatives isn't just a vote against abortion, it's a vote FOR untreated venereal diseases, uterine cancer, infertility, breast cancer, and unhealthy babies.
