Let the Bush fascisti spin all they want
Edited on Wed Jul-23-03 07:59 AM by 9215
These fascisti tack much closer to the wind of public opinion than the Left. They know how mindless, apathetic and illiterate the American Public is and their voluminous knowledge of psychology compiled by the CIA for so many years gives them a big edge when it comes to manipulating people. This "outrageous" by Perle, Wolfowitz, et. al is to get people to think that WMD's are simply not that important. Though WMD's seemed to be important before, the Public has the attention span of a knat and can be easily persuaded to think otherwise.

But the reality of what is going down in Iraq will eventually catch up with Bush$Co. That's why I'm not to worried about all of this spin. Iraq is an umitigated disaster and these oil thieves need to bring order to Iraq before they can haul oil out at the rate they need too. They are stealing it from Rumailiah as we speak because it is on the border and easily gotten out and transported to the Kuwaiti coast without much interference. Then there is the steady drip of US casualties and no relief for the troops in sight. This is the saddest part and ALL OF IT is Bush's fault.

The international community of nations is dealing with it pretty well. They are forcing any Iraq rebuilding process to go through the UN, with a few countries being bribed by Bush to help out in the peacekeeping role of the US. Kofi Annan said a long time ago that the US will be responsible for re-building Iraq, or at least have to pay for it. This is the UN that the Right-Wing labeled unimportant and impotent before the war. The UN has the upper hand now and if they do go in then the true nature of the disaster that is Iraq will be revealed in detail. If the UN sees Rumailia.....and Halliburton's blatant theivery......oooooooh boy! Talk about a political shitstorm! Bush's double bind: he cannot let the UN in for multiple PR reasons, but must let them in to solve the problem--thugs cannot govern.

After the barbarians sacked Rome they tried to get the local administers to govern and get the coffers re-filled so they could sack the country again, but they had killed the host. Bush knows that government intervention is neccessary if the he is to keep order enough to steal the oil. We are now watching that smirking chimp groveling before the UN that he tried to bring to heel.

IMO Bush's plan was always to have the UN come in and clean up his shit as he conquered the world. Let's see what happens if the UN fails to comply.

Let the motherfuckers, grovel and beg the UN for help and let the disaster that THEY brought on the Mid-East be their undoing. They can spin all they want, but eventually the reality of Iraq and WHO IS RESPONSIBLE will be seen for what it is, heeeee, heeeeee, heeeee.

1. There are no honest men
Edited on Wed Jul-23-03 08:14 AM by Marianne
they do not care if they are seen to "grovel"--in a few days they will come up with some other scandal--some other thing that will make Americans think Bush is a wonderful Mr. Murgatroyd again--it will be forgotten that they grovelled--we must and will stand by our man.

I was a political air head for much of my life, not caring too much to be that involved--too busy doing other things. With the arrival of the internet, I became interested and became involved--almost three years later, exhausted, I have come to the conclusion that involvement and interest, as I perceiove it now, is for the little guys.

Ideology--being a true patriot, standing up for the little guy's rights--(mine, as I am a little guy in today's world,) is all well and good --many religions advocate this as being the proper ethical approach to living a life

--but I am afraid that reality has set in--there are no honest men hoping to get our country back as I hoped and as I dreamed after the election coup--many are millionaires, raising obscene amounts of money, bribing, lobbies and all of it that show a government that is corrupt on all sides. They will NOT stand up for the little guy, because they are too comfortable themselves---we want to believe they are noble, just and full of ideals just like the little guy (us)--there is not one that will not look to increase his wealth off the backs of we the little guys.

PErhaps the Repukes are the more realistic ones. Perhaps they understand the game better--I got mine and why should I pay for anyone else and pull yorself up by the bootstraps and all of what i consider utterly immoral may be the best survival method after all, and religion be damned.

If I were raising children today I am not so sure I would try to instill in them these high, noble ideals wrapped in platitudes like on a Hallmark greeting card

-I might think that the best I can do for them is to teach them to get theirs anyway they can--there is no evidence in today's world that it will do them harm--in fact there is evidence that teaching them ruthlessness and selfishness will get them to a a better place--it is the little guy who will suffer

2. "Thugs cannot govern"
Rove is a thug enabler. He got this POS mis-administration close enough to steal the vote. He can get them in office and keep screwing with the sheeple's minds but there is a major problem: they can not operate an efficient Government in a manner that is fair or even close to being Constitutional. Their goal then is dishevel to keep the masses in such a state where the good ole' Americans are easily manipulated.

3. Yea, but then, at some point, the system collapses
or public opinion turns against them before it collapses. The fascist goal is like any other thugs: to rip off the public. Fear and chaos are their ways to power to attain those goals. What I am wondering is how Bush can maintain support if the mess he created gets worse. At some point the public has to pay the bills.

4. I didn't offer a cigar
But I'll give you one anyway :-)

That was my point. They are killing Democracy for personal gain. In a time of Pre-emptive attacks, Recalls, court-appointed Prez and whatnot the system will crumble under the weight of Fat Cats. The Elites will have killed the goose.
