4. You live in Virginia, right?
How deep into Virginia, out of curiosity? Is it lonely being liberal where you are?

5. In Texas at least

there is a court battle regarding precinct lines, as you've probably heard. Martin Frost was my congressman for ages (used to go to his townhall meetings), til I moved north.

His district (with a high percentage of minorities) has been butchered. I think it will be something of a victory if the dems can just defeat the mad mosaic frankenstein the rnc has created for voting districts.

I've been reading a lot of stories about right wing defectors .. DU has a good archive article ..
Greetings From Your Secret Allies on the Right

and someone sent this ..
Democrats: Better Politically Correct-ed than Elected.
http://www.theangryliberal.com/11-06-03.htm

Also read a thread in LBN I think about how many more dem wins there were in last week's state elections, which of course didn't get the headlines like miss and ky.

I don't have what it takes to fill an elected position .. for several reasons. But after mulling over all the issues and circumstances of the past year or so, I believe I discovered my 'war front'. I'm not sure how to do it yet, but I think it is vital to being able to get our messages heard and heard correctly. I'm still thinking it through. Can't explain it yet.

I hope more dems do step forward. In Texas for starters, the voters would probably even settle for a republican who acts like a dem ;) ..
