Limbaugh to get Statesmanship Award (stop laughing)

saw this in the mailbag over at www.buzzflash.com

the Claremont Institute at the annual Churchill Dinner in L.A. on 11/21 will give him this award. he will be the keynote speaker and Hugh Hewitt will be master of ceremonies.

(Churchill must be laughing from the grave. wonder what his keynote speech will say? and guess this means he will be 'cured' by the 21st)

Washington Fellow: The Hon. William J. Bennett

Posted November 4, 2003

Claremont, CA; November 4, 2003: Today, Brian T. Kennedy, President of the Claremont Institute, announced the appointment of William J. Bennett as the Claremont Institute's new Washington Fellow.

William J. Bennett served President Ronald Reagan as Chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities and Secretary of Education. He also served President George H.W. Bush as the nation's first Drug Czar. The author or editor of over 15 books, Dr. Bennett is one of America's most important, influential and respected voices on cultural, political, and education issues. A native of Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Bennett studied philosophy at Williams College (B.A.) and the University of Texas (Ph.D.), and law at Harvard (J.D.).

Dr. Bennett is a co-director of Empower America; Chairman and co-founder of K12, an Internet-based elementary and secondary school; and Chairman of Americans for Victory Over Terrorism, a project dedicated to sustaining and strengthening public opinion as the war on terrorism moves forward. Dr. Bennett will now also represent the Claremont Institute in Washington, D.C. as a spokesman, advocate, and analyst both in public policy circles and in the national media.

Today, Claremont Institute President Brian T. Kennedy stated, "We at the Claremont Institute are honored to welcome Dr. Bennett as our Washington Fellow. His is the most serious moral voice in Washington for the recovery of free government. We look forward to his scholarship, his good counsel, and his analysis of how best to return America to its philosophical and constitutional origins."

3. Pat Sajak???
hmmm.....I tend to think Pat Sajak is a bit on the conservative side.

I recall to have seen him as a guest host for some weekend talk show on Faux News while channel surfing. I don't know, but he just srikes me as some Midwest Dan Quaylesque Republican. Am I wrong?

4. Not just laughing
Churchill would be laughing from his grave until he realizes that this isn't a joke, then he's probably rolling over and puking into his casket.

5. Hey, if people want ot debase themselves, why should we care?
Rush Limbaugh is a joke and the only thing that keeps the ditto heads from admitting to it is that to do so means they are a joke too.
