Murder of Saddam's sons. They barely even mention the double killing of our troops. The media seems to be using scripts written at the White House.

1. I don't know...
It's a big story and they are afraid NOT to cover it heavily.

I think the test will be if they keep it up, or if they go right back to the WMD scandal. Also will be interesting to see how they cover the 9-11 report.

CNN is doing a story now, still using their graphic "WMD: Burden of Proof". Talking about Hadley taking the blame, and replaying Clinton's baffling remarks.

2. Yes, they're afraid not to cover it
(Very astute, Amerikav60) Trouble is, they are no longer equipped to cover it properly, thanks to their self-induced coma (aka "Prop Up The Chimp").

Kill your TV before it kills you!

5. I was listening to 1010 news radio this morning (NYC)
There was all sorts of commentary and celebration thrown in with the news. They were talking about how great it was that the two were dead. They made comments like "believe it or not some Iraqis were upset by their deaths". They made a big deal about the one Iraqi that complained how the US troops destroyed the home. They reported all the allegations against the sons, as FACT. They ignored the death of the 14 year old in the home. Then after 10 minutes of celebration and saying how great things were, there was a 15 second blurb. "Apparantly the deaths will not have an immediate impact on Iraq as 2 more soldiers were killed". Even Yahoo news. After a week of hiding the Iraq section like (because there were only stories of soldier's deaths and bush's lies), they suddenly put the link back on the front page, so that everyone can read about bush gloating over the deaths. Very biased reporting IMO.

3. I think they should spend as much time for dead soldiers.
They should profile every soldier killed there with the same amount of coverage they are doing for the sons and for the stupid basketball rape case.

It would be honorable, but it won't happen.

4. Noisemakers, too
Yesterday, the big (dumb, I mean informed) Repub in my office came running in all atwitter about them getting killed.

My first words? "Well, looks like the deaths of 250 US soldiers and countless thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians was worth it! What a relief! God Bless America!" <sarcasm, in case you can't hear it>
