but they also take it away.

how many folks now feel like a fool helping to not only build this industry but also automate a lot of it to enable us(them) to be even more efficient and profitable and now that the infrastructure is in place they are getting rid of us, just like they did to the folks before us, who's jobs we automated, i do sometimes...

i don't wanna be a 'candle stick maker' or a stick in the mud but i would LOVE to hear an articulate plan from one of the running candidates on what to do about the future we are building for ourselves.

the way it looks to me - and other folks i've read - that in the near term we may only need about 10 percent - or less - of the population to actually be employed to run most of the things provided by the market economy but what about the remaining 80 percent?

what are we gonna do? i say there is plenty to do but i would really like to know what are future leaders thing about all this.

anyone heard any talk about this issue by our wannabe leaders... or are we all supposed to submit our applications to mickey deez :shrug:

just wondering ;->

:hi:

peace

3. Yes, let's hear the politicians plan
So far, I've heard some candidates spout off about building up other countries, but so far not much about the United States. Perhaps they need to be reminded they are running for office here, and not somewhere else?

4. Whatever happened to the promises in the forties
that automation would give us more leisure time to enjoy life? They didn't tell us we weren't going to be paid anymore did they?
