Am I reading too much into this?
I heard on CNN that the "palace" or whatever Uday and Qusay were killed in is probably going to be torn down in the next 24 hrs because the Corps of Engineers says it is unsafe.

I suspect they are reducing it to a pile of rubble to cover something up! Maybe forensic evidence that would prove the dead folks are not the sons?

1. It's a bit weird
That they are hustling to remove it so fast. However, I doubt it has anything to do with their identities. They may be trying to cover up evidence that the two were trying to surrender, or perhaps evidence concerning the girl that was killed.

Then again, if it is a big building and it's getting ready to collapse, that's a legitimately big deal. Could be nothing.

3. I'm still not convinced that it was really Saddam's sons that were
killed. I don't trust ANYTHING this administration says, and I wouldn't put it past them to try to cook something like this up to prop up sagging poll ratings and lagging confidence in the WH. And if that makes me paranoid, well, so be it.

In a city of which many buildings have been reduced to rubble and are most likely quite dangerous, why this one?

5. sounds suspicious alright
Its kind of like if someone can't see something, it mustn't be there. only in this case if we can't see who the bodies actually are, it must be the sons because dubya says so. and god knows he has TOTALLY NO reason to mislead us again.

6. did you see pictures of the place ?
having some experience in the building trades, it IS unsafe as is.

Do you want it falling down on looters when the Army moves on ? Do we need more bad blood ?

7. Naw....
It was probably one of the most targeted (and subsequently attacked) buildings in Iraq. I'd rather have it torn down then wait for it to collapse on its own.

8. You would think there were more important things for
the Corps to do than tear down that one building. It can't be the only "unsafe" building in Iraq. Yes, smells to me.
