Let me paraphrase here
Some Republican just called into C-Span and in a panicked voice said that Clinton (as though he was God) said last night on Larry King that Bush made a mistake and the Dems should now get off of Juniors back about it.

Does anyone else see the absurdity of that statement? They are being forced into the position of admitting that their boy has screwed up even though Bush has never admitted to anything. And they are using a Democrats words to prove that is true. See the problem that the Republicans have now ran into here? They are being boxed in and the box is being taped up tighter and tighter as each second goes by.

2. Yeah, Don, I heard that too...
BUT

Had he said nothing, they would have even less cover. Conservatives are only concerned about themselves, and will use anyone for cover. Sure it's funny how righties were quoting Clinton in the run-up to the war, but that HELPED get us into a war. That greased the skids and helped the juggernaut be launched.

Sure it'll be funny to see them hide behind Clinton as this goes on, and I'm sure he'll like it, but I want them flushed out into the open.

These people, although they claim to be the upholders of civilization, actually hate it. Society is, by definition, regulation. The fact that they want to deregulate everything is cymbalic (sic) proof that they want to use their advantage over others by driving them back to primitiveness.

In their hell-bent drive to destroy civilization, they constantly use civilization as a human shield; I want that taken away. Strip them of cover and make them take responsibility for their actions.

The great mechanism by which the right controls those who it actively hurts is the "they know better than we do" approach. By Clinton telling the po folk that that big ol' prez-dent job's a lot harder'n ya think, he's given great cover to the nazis.

Time will tell.

4. Did I paraprase what she said pretty well? I did my best, but wasn't sure?
And you have to admit one thing here. When the Repubs need to start running to Clinton for cover they have to be in deep stuff. And that is starting to show now I think. It exposes them for what they are.

3. Either NSA Rice is a liar or Bush is a liar or both
She said the Niger thing did not rise from the bowels of the Administrion to her office. Everybody who had a brain said BuLLShit at the time she said it. Considering the close relationship she has with the idiot Bush and his need for her constant guidence Bush had to know the Niger thing was false when he said it. For Bush or Rice to admit anything now is to admit they were lying. Clintons pathetic attempt to bring civility back to Washington by defending the Chimp is just that: pathetic. On this I am VERY disappointed with Bill.

5. Choking on irony
Having to rely on Clinton for help! That has to be one big reason he did it, besides putting the naively simplified incident into context- where much greater patterns and examples lurk.

And they have to stammer a thank you to their Great Satan? Heaping coals on their head political style

7. Controling the message
Clinton has forced them to adopt the stance Bush screwed up. We have control of the message now. They have to follow. Now as more Condi-Bombs go off they are going to be lead to their own slaughter.
