If I was a 19 year old Female....there's NO WAY I would go to WAR!

So, if I was a 19 year old Female in "Bush's America".....what would I do? I hate war. I think DIPLOMACY is the ONLY
solution.....and I can't stand guns, blood, guts, and violence. AND! I wouldn't even serve as someone who sat yping out forms for "Supply Requisitions and taking care of "correspondence between the General PooBah's" so I could serve my duty as an "Administrative Secretary."

I'm telling you the only way I would allow myself to be drafted is if we had a threat like Hitler in WWII! And, even then I would NEVER GO INTO COMBAT...shooting a gun to kill and maime people...

So, today, if there was a draft...they would come and get me. They might Make me Shoot and Kill people! They might make your Daughters shoot and kill people!

Some of your daughters would be happy killing and shooting people for Bush....some wouldn't.

What happens to those, who like me, wouldn't go to WAR FOR BUSH? Are they AWOL, Court Martialed? They can't head for Canada like the the 60's folks did. Where do you go? If your refuse to shoot and kill people and you are a Female who just isn't "into war?"

If your "Daughters aren't into war" but are drafted....what do you do. If you aren't "into war what do you do?"

BTW: My spelling is Crap lately....I think Maimed is wrong and some other things..but I'm tired and my dictionary is buried under amount of "print outs." I'm sorry......I know this bothers some people....just wrote this off top of my head.

Is wrote spelled correctly? I don't even know :eyes: freaked out about Bush's New Iraq Bombing, and seening very fragile, frail Jessica this p.m. She shouldn't have been in a battle, IMHO....but I'm "Old School." and not "With It'!

1. to be fair...
Lynch was a supply clerk and in a maintenance division. Women are barred from direct combat roles, iirc.

Actual combat tends to revolve more around your survival and that of the person next to you, and not so much of "killing in the name of".

I don't support the Iraq war but at the same time I don't fault people for joining the military.

Politicans make wars, not soldiers.

2. US citizens can't choose which wars they will fight. If on active duty
or if drafted, women would probably not be assigned to combat arms units however, if they are in a combat theater they will be in harms way.

A current bill HR163 before congress would include women in the draft.

You might qualify for CONSCIENTIOUS OBJECTION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICE

4. Well, I have always been of the mind that equality for women
doesn't mean adopting the stupidity of men.

5. Since we have cut back the number of active duty military personnel
it's only a matter of time before women are drafted into combat.

6. somethings are worth fighting for.
Edited on Wed Nov-12-03 08:06 PM by TexasMexican
Iraq might not be one of them, however now that we are in there I hope we are somehow succesful, but there are things that are worth fighting, killing, and even dying for.

Nothing much at the moment that I can think of, however should a sufficient situation arise I would fight.

BTW call me a chavanist male pig or whatever, but I dont think women should be drafted. I'm not for that much equality, I have no problem with woment joining the armed forces as long as they can do the job.

Are you saying that no war(s) in ours, or other countries histories have been worth fighting and the right thing to do?
