Slick Willy (AKA Big Dawg) smacks the GOP in the face AGAIN
And this time he did it so slyly, so underhanded, that he even fooled a pretty good percentage of the people on the left.

Lets examine a few things shall we?

Clinton said, and I'm paraphrasing, "Presidents make mistakes and we should just move on."

Why you may ask would President Clinton do such a thing? First off, think about the term "move on."

When was moveon.org founded? Right in the middle of the Lewinsky scandal! Millions of left-leaning people were saying, "What's the big deal? People make mistakes! Lets move on!"

Did the right-leaning people move on? Oh no, in fact they made it even worse and impeached Clinton on nothing but a blow job. They didn't have the class or the integrity to just move on. They were, quite incredibly, complete whining crybabies who obviously had never done anything remotely kinky in their entire lives!

So now, when Bush is at his most vulnerable the Big Dawg shocks the whole friggin world by saying lets move on, no biggie! What does this mean?

I'll tell you what it means. It means that not only do the Repugs have a weak case, now the only line of defense they have left is to use a CLINTON QUOTE TO DEFEND BUSH. It's absolutely the most hilarious thing EVER. The same people who spent years tearing down Clinton's reputation are now forced to use him as their knight in shining armor! They're rebuilding Clintons image and looking like idiots for doing it at the same time!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.... did anyone see Novak get his head chopped off on Crossfire today when he used the Clinton quote?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.........

I can't believe Ann Coulter gets asked about it!!!!

- I've never seen so much excuse-making and rationalization in such a short period of time. Clinton sold out the Democratic party and those brave Dems trying to bring the Bushies to justice.

This is about more than making Clinton look better...who cares about what the GOP did at this point and how stupid it was, BUSH LIED PEOPLE DIED...this is VERY IMPORTANT....and his statement REALLY pisses me off, because he's taking the time to make his own ass look better instead of realizing that this is about more than that!!

lie about sex. Let people compare the gravity of both presidents actions. Remember, nobody died when Clinton lied.

Clinton has burned the Repugs so many times they are probably gloating on the outside, but twisted up in knots on the inside wondering what scam is he running on them this time.

I'm not one of those who thinks Bill Clinton is god, but One thing he has is fantastic political instincts. He is absolutely NOT the one who should be leading the charge against Bush for lies, etc. He is too big a target. This should not be a game of: "well, HE's one to talk about lying in the White House!"

25. Clinton is the one to kill with kindness
Clinton has no credibility in the deep south and midwest. The right wing pundits will look like fools using his soft let-handed defense on nationwide television. They can't use him. Many people see Clinton as evil and dirty and sleazy and a murderer.

Clinton may not have said "Bush is a stinking death-worshipping tool of Satan!" He did keep the story alive, and Clinton has once again taken some headline space... this time away from the deaths of Castor and Pollux.

33. Tell it to the judge
Clinton is still a necessary force in world politics. As an added bonus, he is no longer in a position to compromise the country to death.

I think on the international stage he could be as invaluable an asset as Carter...

I can understand the frustration, but Clinton is not running for President. And the EASIEST thing in the world for a Dean or a Clark or a Kucinich to do is disagree with Clinton and say "NO, I WILL NOT MOVE ON!" How does this damage the left?

42. There's no positive spin on this.
Clinton signalled to the media to drop the discussion of the uranium, and move on. I think a lot of media will do exactly that.

In addition, I think this boost of Bush was on purpose, to allow his wife a free shot at the presidency in 2008, by heloing Bush to get re-elected in 04.

I think all these results were thought out and intentional.

49. Try this on for size
Keeping in mind that Clinton's audience is not the far RW, never has been never will be.

He juxtaposes, in one sentence, his "mistake" (getting a blowjob and lying about it) with Smirk's mistake--lying to start an unnecessary war.

Implicitly, the conclusion has to be drawn that way. Who would listen anyway if Clinton bashed Smirk openly? Nobody.

This way, the immaterial mistake which caused impeachment is set up next to the godawful lie used to start an unnecessary war.

My two cents anyway. but I'm prejudiced...I've always liked him.

50. I don't see any hidden messages by Clinton in all of this
He maybe takes some joy in another presidents truthfulness being called into question and may even be gleeful that he can proclaim that the country should just "move on", but the bottomline is that he undercut the democrats who have been brave enough to take Bush to task about his untruthfulness which helped result in a war where thousands of people died and a situation where our troops are sitting ducks in Iraq being preyed upon by snipers. We need to get to the bottom of what the Bush administration knew and didn't know regarding the evidence regarding Iraq. An investigation is called for--there is enough evidence to support one. Clinton made a fool of himself with his comments. He should have said that he didn't know what to make of Bush's comments--if it was an innocent mistake or a calculated lie--perhaps a congressional investigation into the matter would clear it up. I wonder what President Gore's response would have been?

Its the part where he says Presidents make mistakes. So far, this has been played by everyway imaginable by the right wing, except as Bush's fault. For them to use this, they first have to admit that it was Bush's mistake in the first place, not some admin staffer's fault.

But that whole "move on" shit is the part that disgusts me. Hell fucking no! He lied to start a war.... A WAR!!!!!!
