London police chief: sparing Bush embarassment 'not our job'
From London's 'Metro' paper:

"Police chiefs yesterday said it was not their job to 'spare the embarassment' of President Bush if thousands of protestors turn out during his visit to London next week.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Trotter said demonstrators will be allowed to line the route of the presidential convoy but will not get close to Mr Bush."

Clearly, sparing his embarassment is Poodle's job

Wonder who will spare's Poodle's embarassment when the demo hits the streets?

1. previously mentioned in another article
(sorry don't have the link)

a big processional was planned but canceled over the fear of more protestors than supporters would be lining the streets

5. Yes I do LOVE them. Can't wait to see the protestors and
*'s little foray to Parliament, because the word is that the Labor Party is going to all stand up and turn their backs on *. Can you imagine? Got to get a pic of that one.

12. Re: your pic--not only Clinton but the Sec. of State and the Sec of Def.
walk behind him. Can you imagine the chimp, dental-work colin, and rummy together at anything but some flag waving, marching band, review of yet-to-see-combat troops?

4. poor Tony Blair
he has completely mis-understood the depth of upset feelings in the UK about the Iraq war.

Stand by for the major demo in Trafalgar Square : a giant statue of George Bush will be pulled down. What a great photo op.

9. I hope the Queen gives him the most stubborn pony in Britain

when they go on their equestian outing. I hope it refuses to budge and is one of those ponies just lays down when it is sick of the rider. I don't want the Brits to enhance the W's faux cowboy image with equestian photos.

10. Wait. Isn't this COWBOY AFRAID of horses?
Are there any on his "ranch" (read: movie set) in Crawford (read: Crawfish), Texas? Doesn't he prefer the company of cows? Does he not ride around the ranch in a golf cart?

What a brawny lad. What a manly man. Yes, ma'am, put this sorry little fucker on a horse and send me a picture!

11. The Uk Home for the Retirement and Rest of Donkeys & Horses
(a well-funded charity) regulary rents out shagged out asses to those in need of an appropriate ride. Bet there's something in the stable to suit Shrub inimical equestrian style.

Thought: just hope he's not going for a photo opportunity dressed in some ghastly 'traditional English riding habit' type of sartorial horrorshow...

Edited on Thu Nov-13-03 09:02 AM by Classical_Liberal

19. Cross-dressing beneath him? what about the millions of
US voters who might be swayed into backing him in 2004 if they had proof of his transvesticism? DU Lounge Pics regularly attest to this proclivity.

NB Queen Elizabeth ALWAYS rides sidesaddle at parades and could probably lend him one in his size. Bet she's got a cupboard full of them ...

I am supposed to appear on Radio 4 next week (not finalized yet) to discuss how Wilson was greeted in London in December 1918, quite a contast to how Shrub will be greeted I bet!
