1. Against My will I'm sent to Starbucks
Since the car's in the shop and they don't do courtesy rides or loaner cars, I'm sitting in the Wireless Starbucks down the street watching. (CSPAN is webcasting. URL:

Not that I mind not using my home bandwidth (which is metered).

They're starting to look tired.

He just mentioned how much this is costing us in Aides' overtime, court reporters, etc.

6. Byron Dorgan. I Believe he is a freshman (but I could be wrong.)
I'm SO glad they're pounding that 168 to 4, 248 to 63 discrepancy.

The Dems DO have a spine!!!!

8. And talking about jobs...OUR jobs...
not the jobs of a handful of judges who already have jobs.

Someone on another thread made the same point.

13. Hmmm.... Judicial activism, nomination activism.....
WHO is doing the nominating, Senator Gregg?

Would that be... oh,

*?

Or do nominees just spring out of the dirt like sunflowers and anthrax?

And the reason you never asked as a governor is because you already knew what their views were.

And if you were asking if they were honest, fair, intelligent, had life experience and views, you WERE asking their views, you hypocrite.

We need a litmus test for senators.

14. BOO, HISS!!! Ensign is rotten....
He has no clue how legally solid the 9th circuit's Newdow ruling was!!

And obviously has conveniently forgotten that all three judges in the Newdow decision were

REAGAN appointees....

Amazing how selective memory is....
