Is Judge Roy Moore a religious zealot or sly politician???
Is he fighting his righteous crusade against the atheists taking God out of everything or is he positioning himself for higher public office? It definately can't hurt his chances for higer office b/c he can sure as hell fire up his base.

1. moore
I think he is a combination of both. He would have been perfectly at home in the Spanish Inquisition. He loves the limelight. I suppose that may be why he isn't a preacher in a church. Not enough coverage.

5. Twenty-first century Torquemada...
I'm sure Scalia would be interested in reading his resume.

8. Exactly
I had meant to add that Scaley Scalia is probably his hero.

2. Yes
There is, alas, no contradiction between the two.

For further reference see under Reed, Ralph, Asscroft, John, etc.

But one sure plays off of the other.

7. I'm afraid that Moore
has been hatched as a Helms/Zell Miller clone, and is going to haunt us worse than Friday the 13th.

4. He doesn't believe a word he is saying
"Humble man of God" and "politician" are mutually exclusive.

9. He is an opportunist.
And he is seizing this chance to get his name across town.

Because he lost all credibility as a judge, he can either go back to private practice, or go into politics.

Either way, good riddance.
