Ignorance incorporated
I just saw a post where someone was wondering what the 16% of respondents in a yahoo poll actually believe we have found in Iraq regarding WMD. Have a good laugh at this. This is an exchange I got into on a fitness thread that I frequent. Ignorance and self inflicted blindness reigns in this country. My response is italicised.

Once again this was not a thread that I wanted to get involved in, but thr truth has to be known. Weapons of Mass Destruction WERE found. Everyone equates this term, WMD, with nuclear weapons, they found chemical weapons and these are WMD's. Watch the news more often dont just skim through it. Read a paper or something---they found three different types of chemicals that are used as weapons and they found them in large amounts. So as a final answer YES they did find WMD's. Next.

Bush, himself does not want the country for oil. Yes, America wants to protect the oil, and YES the entire WORLD wants America to protect the oil. Do you have any idea how much oil we (as a collective whole) use everyday? The entire world needs that oil and it needs to be protected. As for why we are protecting the oil fields and not water treatment and electric plants---why should we? Cant Iraq do something on their own?

America went in for two basic reasons. One was to find WMD's which they DID. The other was to free the country from the dictator which they DID. Sounds like a success to me. The news is hyped on negativity, watching the TV you would think the whole world was bad. But truth be known 95% of Iraq's people agree with what happened and thank America for it. In fact Bush actually receives a ton of fan mail from Iraq. It is that small 5% minority that are causing problems and the main reason for this is that with Saddam gone they have something to lose.

This basically delves into the question of if you had to kill one child to save one million, would you kill that one child? I would do it without hesitation, others may not feel that way.

Another point I would like to bring up that the media has kept mute is the thousands of cans of soda that were found that each contained cyanide. If they had been shipped somewhere can you imagine what would have happened?

CD, you know what i feel about this bull####. I wasnt gonna comment in this thread but ummmm.....you have raised the bar with your post of misinformation. I gotta go so I cant respond today, but can you post links of where you get this info from? They found chemical weapons ?LMAO...When was this found? And please post a link. Cans of cyanide? WTF??? And no one knows this but you? Again please find us a link for a reputable source. Saying they found 3 types of chemicals that CAN be used as weapons means jack s##t. if you have bleach and baking soda at home I can say you have 3 types of potential chemical weapons and Id be correct.

Sorry anyone who believes they found chemical weapons and the "lib" media covered it up is a fool. No other way to describe it. Yeah the liberal media wont report it if Bush says it on a primetime speech right? Why would he not say it? Go read the Kay report, which is the goverments report on the WMD search. They have found nothing.

Poisoned soda cans, yeah right. This is 3rd grade stuff. Kinda like the time they said Bruce Lees muscles exploded. Once again if they found cans filled with cyanide, you really believe the media could cover it up?? Even if they wanted to for fucks sake we would all know about this.

As for the small 5% of Iraqis against US, when did you do a poll? most Iraqis DO NOT want us there. We have removed Saddam and they are glad. Now they want us out. Keep believeing its only 5% of them while they kill our boys everyday.

1. Wowzers..
95% of Iraqi's thank America for blowing up and occupying their nation? Bush gets "fanmail" from Iraqi's? I don't even think Bush-loving Americans send him fanmail--and I'm pretty sure Iraqi's are smart enough to know that Bush can't even read!
