Poll question: Which Democrat is the best speaker for this Judicial Madness???
What do you think?

It is a tough choice between Schumer and Landrieu. However, Schumer has contributed more.

Landrieu's performance was simply amazing. So was Harkin's.

Has Russ Feingold showed up?

And when is Kennedy going to show up?

3. What... no Zell Miller?!
/heavy sarcasm/

I started muttering strings of obscenities at the TV when that jerk started all of his Democrat-bashing. The worst was whenever he said something about conservative African-Americans being "lynched" by Democrats. He boiled my blood more than any Republican I have seen yet, w/ the possible exception of the indescribably obnoxious Saxby Chambliss who he's so buddy-buddy w/ these days... Traitor needs to get the hell out of the party; he hurts us far more than he helps.

I voted for Schumer, though... he did a spectacular job. (I've tuned in at scattered times throughout, so I've just seen Daschle/Reid/Leahy/Clinton/Schumer/Stabenow/Murray/Johnson/Lincoln/Pryor, maybe a few others.)

8. I thought Evan Bayh of Indiana was really good last night
He said that what he hears from his constituents back home (jobs, healthcare) is what the Senate should be talking about but isn't. And my man Durbin came next and picked up on the same idea. A nice 1-2 punch, like Landrieu and Harkin were this morning. And Schumer also kicked some ass.

13. Landrieu just put someone in his place...
Edited on Thu Nov-13-03 10:47 PM by jchild
I think it was Orin Hatch. He asked, "Will you yield?" Landrieu: "I will not yield!" Hatch: "Will you yield?" Landrieu: "I will NOT yield!" Hatch" "Will you yield?" Landrieu: "I WILL NOT YIELD!!" Hatch: "I object!" Pres. of the Senate: "The senator from Louisiana has the floor."

Landrieu: "How much time do I have left?" Response: "22 minutes" Landrieu: "Good--and I am going to use EVERY one of them!"

She is nailing Republicans on wedge issues: racism, sexism.
