Dean beats Bush - now what?
Let's say Dean wins the primary, and defeats Bush in the general election. What happens to the Dean organization? What happens to the grassroots supporters energized by the campaign? What happens to the blogs, email lists, and meetups? For that matter, what happens if Dean loses?

Can the Dean organization, the "new grassroots" survive without Dean?

or stay active and make sure that from that point on, the party doesn't take its base for granted. if he runs as a progressive, then we remian vigilant and hold his feet to the fire on his promises

remember, a certain arkansas governor ran and promised that our nation would stop selling labor out and would stop 'coddling dictators' in china with most-favored nation trading status. we know where that got us.

we certainly shouldn't go back to bed the night after

2. They keep on keepin on...then we start for 2008
OK you can tell Dean is not my #1 Choice. But whomever wins the nomination I'm gonna work my ASS of to get that person elected.
So I'm sure I'm gonna make great friends regardless of the campaign. I might even find a HUSBAND! Wouldn't that be nice...handin out flyers @ the mall, he comes to pick me up for a rally, we drive to the candidates hQ (we voted absentee) and stay the weekend before the 2004 election tuesday...The Democrat wins...we share 2 bottles of bubbly to celebrate...he falls a sleep in my room...boom! We get married...start workin on the new campaign...by the time 2008 rolls around we already have a set of twins and a bun in the oven Due election nite 2008!

And we live happily ever after....

A girl can dream can't she?

5. I'm thinking Dean is going to tell us to help state political candidates
run for office, and to help elect as many Democrat House Representatives and Senators as possible so that Dean has an easier time working with Congress.

I suppose the only alternative would be to join the Presidential campaign no matter who the nominee is.

11. If Dean wins the WH but not the Congress
then a large grass roots organization would be more important than ever, for pressuring Congresss, for the mid-term elections, and beyond.

15. Dean's Justice Department arrests Bush, Cheney and Ashcroft for
1. Conspiracy w/Jeb to illegally remove Blacks from Florida Voting rolls in 2000 election

2. 9-11

3. Training of Mohammed Atta and other terrorists in CIA-vendor company in Venice, FL

4. Defrauding the Congress on Iraq

5. Letting Ken Lay go for campaign contributions

6. Defanging the SEC for Corporate Cronies

7. Bankrupting California by letting Enron and others rob the state blind

8. Violating the Constitution with the Patriot Act I & II

9. Knowingly outing a CIA Agent

10. Purposely Bankrupting the Government to "Starve The Beast"

11. War Profiteering/Depriving Troops of Water to Toilet Paper

12. Knowingly have the Shuttle Columbia launch despite safety warnings, then refusing to release DOD photos showing huge gash in wing, thus knowing that the Columbia would be destroyed with all hands--to deliberately move NASA away from civilian Shuttle launches and prepare it for the militarization of Space! Proof: Andy Card came in early that Saturday morning at 9:15 AM to the White House, turned on the Shuttle coverage and watched it disintegrate, knowing the scheduled re-entry time. He knew he would have to work overtime and be there that morning!

That's for starters!

18. I think it will move forward
I had written "I think it will move to the left" but that is old thinking.

The movement will move forward - to insure universal health-care and decent pay for teachers just for starts.

Getting Bush out is priority number one.

What is wonderful about Dean is that it is not so much about getting him in, but taking the country back. Which to me really means "taking it forward."

21. Dean wins??? Are you kidding me???
Dean doesn't have a chance at all of winning in a general election!

Zero!

So, to answer your question: Dean wins, now what?

This is what happens.
