PM URGED TO 'DITCH BUSH'

Nov 12 2003

Exclusive By Paul Gilfeather Whitehall Editor

TONY Blair should ditch President Bush when he visits, a former aide to Bill Clinton warned last night.

Sidney Blumenthal said the PM would have to "tap dance like Fred Astaire" to dodge Labour fury.

He also urged Mr Blair to re-establish his party's historic links with the Democrats ahead of next year's US presidential elections.

1. Of course he's right
Bush won't sink Labour, but he may well tarnish any good Blair's administration ever did at any time forever. No one has much respect for the PM after this utter surrender to foreign and wholly conservative ideals not at all in tune with the British public he supposedly represents.

3. I thought Blair was taking great pains
to put a lot of distance between himself and Bush over the summer as he struggled to revive his numbers. Now all of a sudden, he's sounding like the same poodle he was last spring. Weird!

4. no shit
his hands are dripping innocent blood just like *'s. In some ways he might even be worse since before this Blair actually had some credibility and a lot of well educated people I know actually believed that there must be WMD's in Iraq since Tony Blair believed there were.
