Whats this about Zell Millers racist remarks made today?
Edited on Fri Nov-14-03 06:36 PM by demdem
I heard on Sissy Hannity today that Daschle and another group are upset because Miller said something about lynching. Anybody have more on this? Gee he is really going all the way with this republican thing.

1. Either that, or he's finally showing his true colors!
I don't know what it's all about either, hopefully someone will be kind enough to enlighten us.

7. We need to make an example out of ole Zell
The party needs to stand up and denounce Zell and his comments and kick him out of the caucas.

4. every time
this mental cripple opens his mouth, he undermines and sabotages the party!!!

Does anyone honestly think he hasn't already handed over sensitive party information and/or secrets and dirt on other prominent dems to the GOP to use at the worst possible time???

As i end every post in a miller thread:

Zell, please go kill yourself

5. Trying to make Dems look as bad as possible on his way out...
I'd expect more of this shit from Miller before he retires. If he's a Dem then I'm a GD Chinaman. Sounds like a plan to me,keep up the BS and keep calling himself a Democrat until the day he steps down. Do as much damage to the Dem party as possible.

Fuck that SOB.

6. "African-American women need not apply"?!
Huh? Is he saying that of the 168 nominees that were approved, none were African-American women?

8. And Daschle only said it was "UNFORTUNATE"?????
Wow. The mouse that roared. Typical.

That's it: zell has to be removed from the Party now. The endorsement of * was waay bad enough, but if he isn't thrown out now, we stand a good chance of losing millions of African American voters. And understandably so.

Does Daschle have the gumption to do it?? :eyes:

yes dash is a wimp, someone in his position needs to be alot more forceful when it comes to matters such as this. it`s a stain on the party and a stain on this country...

15. poor choice of words
let me say zellie represents people who think it`s ok to say lynching because in their mind it`s ok as long as they say it.

16. Daschle also said
that it was right to demand an apology- I'm guessing asked for specifically by the Dems on the floor when Zell spoke.

11. I don't think he is a racist
but him saying that we oppose Brown's nomination on the basis of race is appaling. What he does by saying that is stifle debate and take us off of the subject.

14. Yeah, that is not the point.
I don't know if he is a racist or not, but his remark trivializes a horrible crime. Voting against a RW justice has NOTHING to do with lynching, in the sense of what those crimes actually were, and zell KNOWS it!!

17. The man's got a Clarence Thomas complex!
Remember the "high-tech lynching" remark during the Thomas/Hill/can of Coke hearings??

Crikey! Miller isn't even original!

Sad to think how short a time it took to get from "Give 'em hell, Zell!" to...

GO TO HELL, ZELL!
