Isn't getting voter turnout the REAL issue?
The democrats always win with greater turnout, so it is incumbent upon us who claim to oppose bush to get democrats registered and to the polls. I'm seriously considering doing this, maybe taking a "vacation" to part of the USA where door to door registration is needed and hoofing it. Do you have any ideas about this? When is the hunting season for voter registration. Where is best to try such activism. Do you have any general ideas in this area. Which state is best to work.. likely a marginal swing state where with healthy turnout, the dems can turn the tide?

That said, i think DU should have links on the home page like "get registered" that this site facilitate voter registration in line with its cause.

Thanks to monkeyseemonkeydo, i discovered this excellent organization that is for the 5 million american voters abroad: http://www.democratsabroad.org/ It should be in the links section of DU, and i can't find it there. It is the first website that actually explains how to register abroad that i have found after looking about for months and finally contacting the embassy.
