The late stages of our current psychosis
in the American body politic consist of a new phase of transferance --
'angry Democrats', 'Islamists bent on world domination'.

This cannot maintain. Operating the largest Military, the largest Economy, and the largest Democracy in the world like this cannot go on for much longer without a horrible disaster. Fifty plus years of malicious policy has been blowing back in our face. When can we regain a sane and just footing vis a vis the rest of the world?

Even Gulliver sleeps. The lilliputians do too, in shifts.
We are going to wake up some morning, and find ourselves tied to the ground by the rest of the world.

Please Goddess, let me live long enough to see America rejoin the 21st Century.

1. psychosis
if ever there were a lesson on human psychosis, the one fact that is indisputable is that people will follow the same tendencies. so to expect some sort of awakening is almost laughable. what i hope for is that the rest of the world sees us clearly (and i think they do) and decides that this is not the way. america is about ready to implode, and that will be followed by an explosion. when the dust settles america will be irrelavent, as it should be.

2. Foreign outsourcing and dependence on everything foreign doesn't help...
Strange how the American body politic doesn't say "America bent on world domination" yet many Americans say "Globalization, get used to it". I saw an article on zdnet and the writer said exactly that. I wrote back to him... http://techupdate.zdnet.com/techupdate/stories/main/not_all_jobs_can_be_moved_offshore.html read the second paragraph: To the second group, I say welcome to the global economy. If you want a sympathetic ear, you've got one in me. That said, you can choose to ignore reality, or you figure out what to do about it. The United States wanted a democratized world full of industrialized nations. Now it has one, and if American companies are expected win against foreign competitors in a global economy, they can't be expected to maintain a significantly higher cost base with a minimally appreciable difference, if any, in quality of goods or services. Angering, isn't it? (I wrote back about having America raise the standards and quality of life for all around the world, rather than lowering the quality of life for us citizens here, also citing how much money people in these foreign countries make and how they lack the laws and protections we have...)

3. I, too, fear the rest of the world is going to f**k with us
just because they don't like us any more. And why shouldn't they?

Look at the current devaluation of the dollar? An investment newsletter I subscribe to is predicting the total collapse of the US dollar.

Scary, isn't it?

We say FUCK YOU to the rest of the world and expect .... what? Chocolates and roses?

The rest of the world's nations could easily collude to destroy us. And they could easily do this without firing a shot.

what the world needs now is the destruction of the u.s. and i'm with you, without firing a shot. i want to see the u.s. as not the most powerfull country anymore. we don't deserve that statis, and we need the humility before we become even worse monsters.
