EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. (AP) - People in the western Florida Panhandle and southern Alabama may hear a loud boom and see a column of smoke Tuesday from another test of the "Mother of All Bombs," Air Force officials said Friday.

The second test of MOAB, officially the Massive Ordnance Air Blast but nicknamed otherwise, is planned between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. CST, if the weather cooperates.

These people are completely INSANE!
God help all the poor wildlife in the area.
I HATE what is happening.
How DARE they do these things in my name with my tax dollars!

2. Ido believe that the federal govt. has really got away from us.

We must find people that starts taking the power back so we can stop this war part of the govt from really tearing this country down.

3. Wait until you find out about the Airborne Laser Program

It will be operational in a year or so. Then they can blow up launched ballistic missiles from 180 miles away and basically control the world with the Big Stick. It's a 2 Mega-watt Laser on a 747. this is real, there are photos, I kid you not.

9. The airborne laser has been flying several years.

In other words, it's a system supported by both democrats and republicans in this and the Clinton administration both. Since it has no target unless someone has first actually launched a ballistic missile, I don't think it really counts as something you "control the world" with.

I have no problem with the testing and development of newer weapons.

However BeHereNow does have a point. I dont consider myself an extreme environmentalist, but I dont support unnecessary waste.

Why are we testing these things in the Florida instead of out in the Southwest somewhere.

Then again I guess it might have something to do with seeing how well they are at clearing trees for making a helicopter landing pad.
