1. Wow.
That's a lot of angry people.
That makes me feel good about the election for some reason.

3. ha, look at this post
"Supporting the plans - and even the re-election - of George Bush is like leaving a large, untrained puppy alone in the house for several days: Serious damage can result. Bush is so clueless he's even damaged himself. This is a pity - he might have done some good, but instead he listened to very bad, "bought-and-paid-for" advisors - and acted upon their advice. The cost is immense! We cannot replace the human lives his decisions have lost, nor will this country recover any time in the foreseeable future from his bankrupt fiscal and social "policies."

4. I've told them...........
... to cancel my membership as well. They've sold out Seniors on this. The HMO's will gobble up all the healthy people leaving the rest to suffer the indignities of original Medicare, at a much higher price. As soon as someone in the HMO's DOES get sick, they'll drop them like a hot potato. This entire bill is a fraud and the first step in the GOP's plan to kill Medicare completely. The AARP does not speak for me anymore. They're a bunch of shysters looking out only for themselves. They must be getting some huge kickback from the government to support this piece of crap legislation.

5. Whoa ...
A bunch of very pissed people here and YES they do vote. Wouldn't it be nice if some day soon we could stop hearing "oh ... only so and so could beat bush". I'm really sick of those who are supporting a particular candidate using this lame reason as why others might consider supporting them as well. I think any of the candidates could beat this psycho. He is clearly an imbecile and an out of control one at that.
Thanks for posting this ... I'll send it on to my mom

6. Here's another post:
"Dump Bush

Dump Republicans

You'd better get active right now if you want to preserve what
little we have left of our way of life. Make some flyers, or get some. Start decorating your town with information on the true intentions of the money-grubbers.

We're on our own, obviously.

AARP member (for now) in the Pacific Northwest."

===========================

The baby boom is going to explode in Bush's face.
I am so sick of this. No more AARP for me and my
parents. I hate Republicans.

8. Well, they finally...
figured it out.

AARP has never really been an advocacy organization. They are a business, and primarily an insurance agent.

Years ago there were complaints about AARP turning on seniors with other Medicare provisions, and issues the Gray Panthers were all worked up about.

They got their cheap homeowners and car insurance, and listened to some pap about lobbying, but when there's a real issue, they're just business as usual.
